Re: Safety Tempering

Figured I'd throw it in here... In no way am I associated with the guy... But apparently someone on eBay had P-64 Safeties made and he is selling the extras. It's a steep asking price in my opinion, but I know a lot of people keep asking for these.

Re: J&G Sales

I see J&G Sales still has P-64 in stock in good USED condition. Has anyone received one lately? I was going to get another from Classic, but they have run out so I'm looking around without resorting to Auction sites.. Man how time flies. I coulda sworn that I was still getting emails from Class...

Re: P64 failure to feed

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a problem with the chamber? Also what year is the pistol? I wonder if you have an early gun with the late mag. Feed lips were modded in 1974?? and the early guns do not like to feed from the post 74 mags. +1 on the Mags. The area of the frame holding the Barrel s...

Re: Laser?

No. People have a hard time finding Holsters for them, not likely gonna have any easier time finding a good laser that will fit properly. Your best bet is to try generic lasers made to clip on the Trigger guard, not gonna be accurate tho as the Trigger Guard moves.

Re: Where are all the p64 parts

Well it's simple. Century Int, P.W. Arms, etc. have simply not made a deal to import them in bulk into the U.S. If we want parts we need to pressure the importers to get them. We see parts yes, but onesies and twosies of stuff, many in the U.S. look to be stripped from bad guns. We see brand new par...

but these may also become more collectible as time goes on just because they are unusual. I don't really think that is true. These "School" or "Training" P-64s have been around for a while. There are plenty of them and I have only seen them go down in price over time. As far as ...

Re: PPU bulged cases.

PPU has been known to do this. It happens in the lower area where the feed ramp slopes away and there is no support there... There have been post about this but not in some time. Not going to spend my lunch finding them, but you are welcome to search the forum.

Re: Latest Acquisition from Classic

Picked mine up today, very early production 1966. Got lucky and received one in 100% condition, literally perfect. Shame it wasn't marked discretely, would make a nice collector piece other wise. Going to stick this in the safe anyways, can't bring myself to use it as a night stand gun. The it's an...

Re: new p64 from classic

Looks like that deal is still $189.99, got it in my email this morning... I hate the .99 thing, why don't they just say $190? Not really fooling anyone. When you check out, you see the actual total plus shipping in your cart...

Re: Recoil

Most P64 have a razor sharp edge where the top back of the frame intersects with the grip, this is what causes injury and makes it unpleasant to shoot for lots of people. Also when you say "Most" you are not talking for the group. This is simply not true. Maybe some of the ones that you h...

Re: P64 Stovepipes

Try manually cycling without firing to try to tell where in the cycle they may be getting caught up. Also check your fired brass for clues as well. You'll be looking for bulges and/or drag marks in the primer.

Re: Recoil

Yes they are fun to shoot. However in comparison to say a full framed model like the MAG-98 or Beretta 92, etc the recoil is pretty snappy. With the stock model P-64, no mods done, after some time it will start to make your thumb web sore. I don't think your experience is typically what people are t...

Re: Are rear sights on all Mak's standardized?

I meant you could always get the full civilian model p-83. Then you'd have those brighter sights with no modification needed. Otherwise you might want to have a gunsmith check your current p-83 to see what if any modification needs to be done to install an aftermarket sight. Or have you thought abou...
