9x18 handguns not P64s
Thanks on the CZ83. SMC-918 is correct, not SMG-918. R61 & BR61 are different designations, and there was the RK59, FEG's first attempt using an alloy frame, a 9x18 military & police pistol that was made before these. The R61 that came after it had an improved alloy frame. FEG made a lot of...

Anyone mention the SMC-918, yet? It's an FEG gun somewhere in the BR-61's line, I think. I have one, but I don't really know its pedigree.

Mosin Nagant Reference's
That's an outstanding site. I've used it for quite some time as my primary source of information for Mosins.
Here are a couple of others:

RUGER LCP 380 ?
Lifted from a review by a guy who handled one: "Here’s my initial impressions: Size: The Ruger is just a smidge larger than the KT in all all directions, but just a smidge (and please don’t ask me to define a ‘smidge’). Weight: The Ruger is advertised to be about 1 oz heavier than the KT. All I...

Ammo feeding problem
I shot my P-64 at the range the other day. In 70 rounds, I had 3 or 4 failures of the slide to come all the way forward. I was shooting Silver Bear JHP's. Sometimes the slide came just a bit short of closing. Sometimes the round being chambered kicked up as it came out of the magazine so it wouldn't...

I carry this:

The nail file end works on a phillips head screw, and the whole shebang is small enough that I'll actually carry it in my pocket instead of meaning to.

Does the kerosene remove whatever the original finish was and leave you with bare wood, or does it leave a clean original finish?
I have a Swedish M96 Mauser that could use some cleaning.

new here , just bought a p-64 and it broke :(
Welcome aboard, Fattie! I'm going to second all the advice to clean it, fix it, and shoot it. Mine malfunctioned quite a bit at first until I got it broken in - say a couple hundred rounds. I think the soldiers who had this issued to them were expected to "finish" it themselves - clean, po...

I've never shot it.
I must be looking at the wrong AIM Surplus - I can only find Wolf Military Classic there. Wolf was so filthy in my Mosin, I can't bring myself to put it though guns I like. :'(

Some of the nylon holsters are reversible. Hard to reholster, but I guess if you're reholstering, you have more time because the bad guy's leaking.
The Red Storm holsters look good to me. Does anyone know how those guys are doing?

Found a M44
The gunshow M-44's hereabouts run $110, so you got a fine price. Anybody have any great ways to remove cosmo? I recently got a 91/30 that was full of cosmo. I've cleaned the metal pretty thoroughly, but I'm not averse to doing it a few more times before I shoot it. How about for getting the cosmo ou...
