So what else are people shooting?
When you guys go shooting, either pistol or rifle, do you have a difficult time making up your minds which firearms to take? I do, so if there are other guys going, I usually ask then what they want me to bring to "play with", LOL abwehr, I know the feeling... At 50+ firearms, it becomes ...

Awesome weapon, abwehr... Gotta love a gun that fires so fast that five rounds sound like one, and a burst sounds like tearing linolium... ;D ;D ;D

Mike of the weird failures
Normally on a semi, I always slap the magazine on the bottom with the heel of my hand when I insert it. When I was shooting combat pistol, this just became second nature to slap the magazine. It is embarrassing to have the magazine fall out as you fire the first round, LOL! abwehr, My SiG P226 is t...

Okay... I'm just guessing from looking at mine... I wonder if the safety's hammer disconnector (on the right side of the hammer spring if looking at the back of the gun) is sticking on you, and by slapping the magazine, you're causing it to pop back up where it's supposed to be...

JHP Ammo & Glasers
Barnaul usually has the best QC out of any of the russian brands... From what I've read and seen, the Silver Bear tends to expand the best of the Russkie HP ammo... I've still got one box of the old Cor-Bon 9mm Mak ammo they used to make... Great stuff, if you can find it...

What Made You Buy?
I was always fascinated by ComBloc weapons and ammo, and like the 9x18mm Makarov alot... Bought an IJ-70 when they first started importing them, and loved it... I had always read about the better machining and quality of the P-64s (mind you, this was also back in the mid-80s) vs. the Russian Maks, a...

Nice Holster
Looks like a holster for a Russian PSM (a little PPK clone firing a 5.45mm pistol cartridge which I believe Izhmash in Izhevsk manufactures)... Should fit the P-64 nicely (if not a little tight)... ;D ;D ;D

Ammo info - super hot stuff for SMGs
Shooting the modernized Makarov round in guns not designed for it is a baaaaad idea... The russians built a special version of the PM (the PMM, which uses delayed vice straight blowback) to shoot this round, but there have reportedly been several cases where troops were mistakenly issued the newer (...

Yeah, still remember the first time I went to shoot it, I had forgot my hearing protection... Having fired my .44 Magnum several times without it, I didn't think it'd be a big deal... My gunsmith, who I bought it off of (it's an actual John Linebaugh-built Ruger Bisley) looks at me, and says, "...

Thanks for the welcome, guys!!!
Abwehr, that's funny, 'cause I'm trying to find one now with a circular hammer... ;D ;D ;D I believe they date from pre-72s??? Kinda wondering what the cut-off date on circular hammer P-64s is...

I have many other handguns besides my P-64s (love my 1911s), but the absolute funnest thing to shoot is my .500 Linebaugh... Needless to say, I'm not bothered by recoil very much... ;D ;D ;D
