List of preferred (and not-so-preferred) parts dealers?

Obviously, there's not a lot of places you can go to get replacement parts for your P-64. And equally as obvious, of the places you can go, there's going to be a couple of guys looking to fleece you (or, maybe not as maliciously, are just under the impression that "rare = worth a fortune")...

Re: Can I fit my P64 in a PPK pocket holster?

"Made in Southern California". In my experience, that's just a half-step up from "Made in China" :P Nevertheless, it looks like it'll serve the purpose of preventing printing as well as reducing wear on the pocket's fabric (and keeping lint, etc., out of the gun). And as an added...

Re: Can I fit my P64 in a PPK pocket holster?

Gman, the two pistols are very close (key words) in size and dimensions, but they are NOT the same. That being said you may find that the P-64 fits in some and not in other holsters made for the PPK based on the manufacturers sizing just like Nike size 10's will be a hair different than Puma size 1...

Re: Do these magazines really only hold six?

Yup, I thought there might be space. I'll try that out if I can ever get ahold of spares.

Can I fit my P64 in a PPK pocket holster?

I've never owned a Walther, but I assume the PPK is similar enough in size to the P64 for it to fit into one of these babies . There's a disclaimer on the site that says "The PPK is NOT a compact gun", but I tried the P64 in my regular side pocket, and it fits right in without the magazine...

Re: 99% of the time the reason these guns don't work

On that note, what should I use to repaint the safety indicator? Will any old nail polish do?

Do these magazines really only hold six?

Loaded mine up for the first time, and after I put the first cartridge in the magazine, I looked at the side of it and thought "surely it holds more than six". Indeed, after fully loading it to the capacity indicated, there's still some spring clearly visible below the follower. I could pr...

Re: 99% of the time the reason these guns don't work

Brake cleaner is tetrachloroethene. It is nasty stuff. We use it at work to clean... brake pads and discs. It will ruin paint and other finishes on metal. It will destroy most plastics. Can be used to clean electrical connectors, disassembled engine parts, most metals that do not have an exterior f...

Apparently not a lot of this year around?
Might be due in part to the large amount of protests in Radom at the time, particularly the Łucznik Arms plant and metal works.

Which replacement springs are right for me?

While deciding whether or not the tough action is something I can get used to, I thought I'd take a look over Wolff's replacement springs. I hadn't realized there would be multiple choices. Since everyone's hand is different from another's, I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of list that shows a...

Re: What Model Year Do You Own?

1970. It's also one of the ones that say just "9mm" on it, and not "9mm Mak" or "9x18". Got mine from AIM (with the "Best of Five" thingy). A few scratches on the outside (mostly the magazine bottoms), all the trigger bits are stained from the cosmoline, but o...
