Just shot some today. About the same as my Wolf experience without the occasional fail-to-fire.
Still have to chase the brass to little avail...

Re: 12-year Mosin sporter
First thing I did was glasbed it to about 2 inches ahead of the chamber. The nosecap has about one sheet of paper clearance. This may or may not be effecting it, but I might sand it down more. Thanks.

Re: 12-year Mosin sporter
Right, you just disassemble the bolt and do a half turn by hand either way to adjust the FP. The safety works great, just a 30 degree turn with your ring finger. Way easier than normal and way better than the ring on my K31. I'm getting about 3 inches at 100 yards at best, but I might dial it in bet...

12-year Mosin sporter
Don't try this, kids. Madness by degrees! Got this at Big 5 about 13 years ago, and immediately started messing around. Bedded the stock, recrowned, trigger job, etc. Non-refurbished, and looks it. A fifty dollar rifle can be VERY expensive and time consuming...even on the cheap. I swear, just the f...

Re: Barsony IWB holster review, pics
Forgot to mention the drawback of not completely covering the rear of the slide. This will be a problem in hot, sweaty Arizona. And because I work in a commercial kitchen that is far from cool.

Barsony IWB holster review, pics
I've been carrying my P64 for a week or so now, and the Barsony IWB (model recommended for the PPK) seems to be pretty good for the task. As per my Dad's recommendation, carrying it just to the right of my bellybutton. He's carried this way for 35 years as a Chicago cop (with a Chief's Special .38) ...

Re: Range report
I've noticed this load leading my barrel a bit after a couple of mags. Or it could be fouling from that smoky Unique. Or lube? Don't know, but I sure have to scrub it out a bit.

Range report
Last time, I was A/Bing my P-64 with my commercial Makarov. I did a spring swap (stiffer recoil and 18Lb trigger) after the first trial. Ugh. The results seemed that the Mak (with Pearce grip) handled a bit better and was MUCH more pleasant to shoot. This weekend, I took out the P-64 by itself. It s...

Re: A great holster for your P64
Ordered one of these yesterday. I'll chime in when I get it. My CC experience is limited to carrying my Makarov at work. It was just a bit too bulky, and this is exactly why I got a P-64 in the first place. Even living in AZ, it does not appeal to me to open carry in most urban circumstances. When I...

Congrats on your pistol. Welcome!

Yeah, and us Zonies have to pay tax!
It is fun to go to Prescott and buy from their showroom (which is pretty small, considering).
Also, Prescott Brewing company is not too far!

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
Okay, I've been posting for weeks, so I guess I need to check in! I've been a C&R collector since the mid-Nineties and have been reloading for half that time. Don't have any "modern" firearms save a couple of .22s a friend gave me. Love to shoot with my kids here in Tucson. Great to se...

First range report and some potential problems!
Took my "new" 1973 P64, my commercial Makarov, and the trusty ol' Nagant to the pistol range today. I had swapped the recoil and hammer springs and polished a gritty looking feed ramp prior to this trip and was looking forward to it. I had a couple of instances when the sear was completely...
