7 Round Mag
I don't recomend it, as when I was done, I wished I had not messed with it. Like I said, it still works but I would not use it for anything other than the range. Yup, I've done that a coupla times. I've started a project with a terrific idea about how to save myself a few bucks and maybe bring abou...

Sort Of Replacement Grip Nuts
That darn grip nut seems so small, that I'm afraid that I will lose it at some point. Of course, this would be a disaster if I didn't have a spare...[/IMG] This one really oughta be a sticky! Those grip nuts are absolutely necessary, yet easily lost with no replacements available. This is a terrifi...

Can't resist bragging . . .
Went to the range yesterday and took some of my "custom" target ammo--95gr lead bullet over 3.3gr Hodgdon Universal powder. Shot a 1" group, standing, at about 21 feet.
Here is a challenge from our brethren in Poland. They sent us a copy of their target and gave some very str...

Any familiar with Thunderwear?
I do believe that pocket carry is the fastest draw method you can do and have a concealed gun. I would tend to agree, except I must have smaller pockets than everybody else. For the life of me, I just can't carry a CZAK comfortably in my pocket. Maybe it just takes getting used to, but for me it se...

Re-assembly prob after field strip
Yup! That's usually the problem for me when I can't get the slide back on. For whatever reason I keep knocking the trigger guard off its take down position...The trigger guard needs to be out (pull down and push to one side to lock it) and the hammer needs to be cocked.

Handguns in a Stress Situation
tunnelrat, nearly 38 years ago it not only took a chunk out of my soul but left a profound sense of guilt, it never goes away, I think most of us just learn to live with it. I led a rifle platoon with the First Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in well over 200 aerial combat assaults. I went down in a f...

Handguns in a Stress Situation
I do feel without knowing how or why or what but that it does take something out of you though. It might save your bacon now, but at what cost? Yeah, Janis Joplin used to sing about taking a piece of her heart. I wonder if such things as this don't take a chunk out of your soul. I do know that near...

Concealability?
I recently acquired a Kangaroo "Soft" shoulder holster. I find it conceals my P-64 very well. http://www.gunblast.com/images/Kangaroo/MVC-005F.jpg That isn't me in the picture. Rather it is a pic taken from the Gunblast website where they do a nice review of the holster. Here are the URL's...

Handguns in a Stress Situation
During war there is a huge number of rounds fired for every hit. One shot/ one kill might work for snipers or LRRP teams, but us old hard-line infantry types used to do a lot of "recon by fire". Is there a gook behind that tree? I dunno, I could either run up and ask, or I could simply fi...

Speaking of CZ-52 ammo, have you tried any of the custom 7.62x25 ammo from Reed's Ammunition? The only problem I have with Reed's Ammuniton is that their ammunition is designed to be used with an 18.5 lb recoil spring. I have only just recently installed a 16.5 lb spring for my CZ-52 from Mak.com a...

Blown primer almost took out my P64 today
I bought a case of that. I'ver fired 850 rounds through my Mak, my P-64, and my PA-63. I've had no trouble with it at all.Wolf 9mm Mak, 100 GR Copper FMJ Steel Cased.....the cheap stuff.
Glad your gun wasn't permanently damaged. Even more glad that you weren't permanently damaged...

Defensive Ammo
Right now I have my gun loaded with the 115 gr. Silver Bear HP ... I bought a box of 95 grain Hornady. It's a good round, but it only runs about 950 fps out of a short barrel. That is nothing to shout about at all. On the other hand, the 115 grain Silver Bear skips along at 1050 fps. That's a much ...
