But They Have Gun Control There!

I was just watching "Prime Minister's Questions" on PBS. It's a weekly showing the workings of the British parliament. The first question was: "What was the Prime Minister going to do to stop the latest "rash of fatal knifings?" He hinted that he would put a stop to it! They...

How do you blue an old pistol?

Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a Mauser Model 1914 and it is in need of a new finish. Can this be successfully blued with off the shelf solutions?
My P64 could use some new finish, but I'd prefer to test my technique on something else first. :o
Thanks

Walmart ID Plans

This morning I sent an email to Walmart Feedback telling them of my feelings about their policy and what my neighbors and friends think. Although they are less expensive, I think I have "to put my money where my mouth is" and use other suppliers.

Walmart ID Plans

Did any of you heard of Walmart's plans to photo ID anyone that buys a gun in their stores? Apparently a group of super left mayors has convinced them that this will reduce crime. What a crock. The crooks will steal the guns from Walmart if they want them. I think that Walmart has been working much ...

Try nitesiters.com these things glow in the dark and are highly visible under normal light conditions. I also used Testors matte white on my Feg PMK380. It worked pretty good, but my gun oil takes it off sooner or later.

When I joined this group I was just curious. Just purchased a P64 at a local shop and had some initial difficulties. Since then, through the members, I have: 1)Changed the brand of ammunition(from Blazer to Wolf) and eliminated half my problems. (I found several recommended sources for 9X18 that rea...

Shot the P64 today

Hey Partner, I had the same problem when I used Blazer ammunition. It jammed on every magazine. I tried Wolf and Czech special without any problems. Today I shot a hundred of the Wolf Military Classic without one problem. (I will say trying to get the full six into the magazines is a real feat of st...

P64 flap holster

I just purchased four holsters designed for the Makarov. The holsters are all leather made in the seventies, but never used. The set of four cost me about nineteen bucks including shipping. My P64 fits perfectly. Take a look at www.sportsmansguide.com They are noted as Holster,Makarov Rus 1.4 Good luck

Jamming problem

I've taken everyones' advice and stripped her down, cleaned everything I could see and oiled absolutely everything. A friend of the owner of the range thought that the ammunition may be the problem. Has anyone used this type of ammo? I have to say I never heard of aluminum shell casings.
Thanks.

Jamming problem

I recently purchased a P-64. It looks unfired. Today was the first chance I had to try it out. The good news is that it shoots a small group and that it kicks less than I was lead to believe. The bad news is that after twelve rounds it began to jam. The jams occur as the empty is ejected. In most ca...
