Harsh recoil
When I first obtained my P64 I was surprised by the recoil and the trigger pull. I replaced both the recoil spring and the hammer spring(bought from Wolf) and it shoots beautifully. On this site there are stickies that walk you through the process of replacing the hammer spring by Norm Sutton, our r...

Czech on clip 7.62
Visited my local range and tried out some different stuff. I fired Wolf Gold. Smooth and sure. Czech surplus on clips (circa 1950's) and some new S&B through my CZ52. I know that there is a lot of talk about the Czech stuff but, I tried it anyway. Wow! Big bang, big smoke, big fireball. Way Cool...

The last word on the CZ52
Since I just really fired the CZ52, the accuracy was lousy. To be fair, I think once I shoot a little more the accuracy will improve. "Don't blame the sights or the ammo just cause you can't hit the target." The quote is from my big brother, Bill , who spent 22 years in the paratroopers st...

The last word on the CZ52
After I had problems with my new acquisition I contacted SOG and explained the problem of the pistol jamming. At the time I had purchased 500 rounds of Romanian 7.62X25 ammo. SOG said that I could return the gun for credit or swap if I paid the return shipping. Something told me that the problem was...

CZ52 Revisited
First thing I did was clean it. Second thing after the problem was to clean it again and use my Dremel. I measured the inside diameter of the barrel and it shows about 7.62. A 9mm was way too big to fit into the end of the barrel although it will drop into the breech. So will a 380! I guess I had be...

CZ52 Revisited
First I have to thank everyone that helped with sending pictures. Especially papabear and norm. Now: Took the old/new CZ out to the range and got a hell of a surprise. On the first attempt to fire the pistol jammed and could not be cleared. A nice loaded round in the chamber. I took it home and got ...

Just picked up a CZ52 from SOG. $119.00 (C&R) with holster, lanyard, rod and spare mag. The piece was reworked at the arsenal in 1976 and has a new barrel, new dark grey finish. It looks brand new! I just ordered a new firing pin after hearing about the problem on this site and am out to shoot o...

C&R Permit
Just was about to apply for a CCR. Then I see the BATF hassling some poor guy because his rifle misfired to full auto. He got 30 months in jail! They were so happy they were peeing their pants. Do any of you guys have this permit? Is it worthwhile or am I just asking for these guys to come visit me ...

I recently changed out the springs in my P64. Recoil spring is now 20 lb and trigger is 18. It is, of course, much easier to fire. However, every once in awhile the slide goes forward after the last round is fired rather than staying open. Probably about once in 20 or so rounds. Springs the problem?...

we win DC loses
I liked what the DC mayor said about his laws being on the books since 1976! The second amendment has been on the books since the 1780's! Imagine the arrogance of the man, to think his stupid, illegal law trumps the constitution.
