Most of the red paint came off of my P-64 while I was removing the cosmoline on the initial cleaning. No scraping from the safety, just poor paint adhesion to the metal. I had used near boiling water to get all of the gunk off, and the paint came off while wiping it with a rag.

This morning I put 100 rounds of this through my P-64 with the following results. Almost every round keyholed at 25 feet! I also had 6 rounds that did not fire the first time I squeezed the trigger. I would suggest you take another look at the recoil spring. If you put it on backwards, the slide will be very difficult to install.
The smaller end goes to the rear of the weapon.

Always careful with weapons OG. You are right about it being lighter, but it is quite nice @ about 3.5 lb. trigger pull in SA.
