Re: '30 M1 Garand
Photoshop yes but not far off the real deal. Local artist criticizing the local municipality. This road the Camino 27 de Abrile was a 1:40 min ride to the county seat and took several years to pave and cost a lot. The first rain created giant potholes in what had been a 40 minute drive on the new su...

Re: My 1st Mosin.
What other war time snipers are in your stable?
A few but nothing special. Taxes and health care have thinned the heard. Wine, women and travel have taken the rest.
300 yards on a #14 target.

Just the original body parts I was issued a little worse for wear. Oh and a pair of boots and some driving skills that serve me today.Curly1 wrote:Did you get to bring back any spares

'30 M1 Garand
My first job overseas was to mobilize 800 M1's for civilian irregular defense forces; CIDG's. They came strapped to pallets covered a black goo like a wax. I was sure I would never get the diesel smell off my hands an clothing . I did this in a tent with a large fly standing on duckboards in ...

Lets not get off on the wrong foot. If something is not original or a replica I will state it. I do like my long guns and take a bit of pride in them.

Re: My 1st Mosin.
In the sense I would have to sound defensive explaining there were no copies available during 1988 and 1996 the time period when these rifles came to me. It's one of those do you still beat your cat questions. There is no correct way to answer after you have planted the seed of doubt. Have a great d...

My 1st Mosin.
It was 1989 and I was in Reno. I had to walk down the main street for almost two miles with over my shoulder. Stopped and played a few slots at the Comstock. Just leaned it against the machine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/montereyjack/Peter/43360002_zpsmw3b1rbx.jpg Pura vida http://img.ph...
