What Made You Buy?

novgarod, I know what you mean! When I first saw them advertised, I said this is not another pistol I need, but when I saw it in the case, the little "devil" on my shoulder said "you gotta buy this one, see how nice it looks and how well if fits your hand"! Well, 2 weeks later, I...

What Made You Buy?

I shoot as often as I can, but I am more of a collector than anything. This pistol really did intrest me from a historical point more than a shooter when I got it, but I do love to shoot it. I am going out of town Monday for several days, and there is a shooting range about 1 mile from the Plant. I ...

dickfunk,

Thanks for posting the photo on another thread! Would it be difficult to get the photo on the main page to go along with the pistol?

What Made You Buy?

What made you guys buy a P-64 Pistol, how long have you had one, etc? The first I heard about this pistol was about 1+ year ago and I think it was in an AIM circular that came in the mail. I did not think too much about it as it was called a "Polish Makarov". I thought it would be nice to ...

Well guys, the only way to let folks know about the Forum is advertise, and other Forums are the place to do that. I wonder how many of these pistols were imported? If Poland was like the other Iron Curtain countries, they made a "Pot Load" of them; so where are all of them?

EBAY P64 holster...

This holster is definetly worth the wait!! I finally got the time to pull the P-64 from the vault and it fits the holster perfectly! I like the way the flap on the side of the holster is contoured to fit around the butt, but can be easily rotated out to get hold of the pistol. The Poles did a good j...

EBAY P64 holster...

When I bought the holster, I wondered why the two different colors. Usually, the Government will differentiate with different color holster wheather they are Army, Police, etc. Poland may have done this with the P-64 holster????? Yea, the first thing I thought about was etching the same S/N on the n...

grips

So far, there are not any aftermarket grips available for P-64 that I am aware of. One of the guys on the Forum made a set from wood for his pistol and they do look nice! The only thing I am aware of for "softening" the recoil is to replace the recoil spring with a stronger spring. There a...

Cracked safety selector

I think you are correct about the Safety being brittle. Also, where any machining was done, if there are very sharp corners, this can cause parts to break if the heat treatment gets too hard.

amd6547, Glad you got your today too! Yep, it is a beauty alright and I agree, the full rig should be worth much more money in the future! So far, no one know if any of the holster have been imported. I had forgotten about the Radom 11 in an oval, mine has this too. Did you notice the spare magazine...
