Re: I decided NOT to change the springs and why.
surf, I should also add that when I carry the P64, it's 6+1 safety off. However, I rarely carry it anymore - it's been exclusively a 1911 7+1 cocked and locked for months now. The 1911 is really nice. I just recently bought a Kimber Ultra. It of course is 7+1. Sometimes I have it cocked and sometim...

Re: P64 in stock any where?
I have not looked for the P64 recently, but one of my friends wants one and I planned to look around soon. If they cannot be found I may recommend a Bersa Thunder. They are selling for 299 or less. You may wish to consider a Firestorm .380 as well then. They're made in the same plant as the Bersa b...

Re: Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II - 45 caliber - 3" Barrel
Basically perfect out of the box. It does not feel like a 45, more like our 9mm Mak. I have small hands and the grip is perfect! I was able to shoot as well as I do with the Sig P232 the first time out. Remington JHP 230GR was true to the laser sight. I also shot a mag full of the Hornady Critical D...

Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II - 45 caliber - 3" Barrel
I just bought a Kimber Crimson Ultra Carry II (update, now there are two :D ). It is of course a 45 and to my surprise has very good control and accuracy with only a 3 inch barrel. The last picture is our Polish P64 over the Kimber. That is what I call a small package 45. Kimber Crimson Carry II and...

Re: Oh where oh where can I find a slide?
DocCasualty is correct. Only the frame / receiver needs to have an FFL. The incident that Robalan is referring to is when this one feller sold his broken gun and Boomer wanted the slide. For whatever reason he got upset about the serial number deal (which he should have known the serial is on the s...

Re: Oh where oh where can I find a slide?
The slide has the serial number on it. I am fairly sure the sale needs to go through a gun dealer to be legal. It does seem like a kid sent one of the people at this site a slide through the mail and it seems like there was a bunch of legal problems. You may spend enough for more than ten guns if so...

Re: Where to buy a P64.
A couple days ago Cabelas had them for $199. The one in the case looked real good. I already have a P64 so I bought a Snake Slayer IV. They should make a good dual.

Re: Hard time releasing mags
I overtightened my grips the first couple of times I removed them. I backed the screw off a thread, and mags fit perfect again. I did the same thing on my Sig P232 when I put laser grips on it. If you find you really want those grips on tighter you could file the screw down to make it a little shor...

dennis does make them so they dont extend over the magazine. when you select the styles just pick short. here are the ones I just put on yesturday. I ordered them 2 months ago and yesturday they finally arrived. His grips are well worth the wait. My grips just arrived. I may need to sand one side d...

Re: Just picked up my P-64...a few pics
Hey gang, This seems like an invaluable resourse for the P-64. I just picked one up at J&G yesterday. Got it home, cleaned it up a bit and ran three mags through it. Two mags of Brown Bear FMJ, and one mag of Silver Bear JHP. It worked flawlessly for me so far...really feels nice in the hand. R...

Nice family, but I sort of wonder about that 44. The Mailman may have been involved.papabear wrote:Left to Right

I have not used the 40 either. The 380 Wolf works fine.
