Outbags OB-31SC Nylon OWB Belt Gun Holster with Mag Pouch Bought on Amazon for $14, this holster is exactly what I was looking for. It has a removable clip for IWB and a belt loop for external carry. Thumb break is velcro adjustable. Fits both my P-64 & PM, although the magazine pouch is a littl...

Re: P64 rubber grips!
+1 on the Hogue slip-on. Best $6 I ever spent, greatly reduces perceived recoil and increases accuracy.
Here's mine:

Re: 1971 makarov
Are there any "unfired" P-64s out there? Seems unlikely as they are surplus pistols.

Re: My new gun
Congrats! Mine is super-accurate, feels great in the hand, high capacity mags. Very reliable, no jams like nearly all Eastern-Bloc weapons. Grips can get loose, don't over-tighten the screws or the grips will break. Functionally, definitely the top of the 9x18 food chain. Fit & finish? That awar...

Re: first time to range
I just got a Houge Handall, and WoW! What an improvement in felt recoil. Well worth the $7 I spent on it.

Re: Old vs New (sporterising)
The difference to me is: Mosins (and other milsurp rifles, of which I own several) where used in numerous conflicts and as such deserve care befitting that of a war veteran. Well, although I respect history, and AMERICAN VETS, I'm a bit conflicted about respecting the actual Veterans of a War where...

The difference to me is: Mosins (and other milsurp rifles, of which I own several) where used in numerous conflicts and as such deserve care befitting that of a war veteran. Mods that are easy to undo are OK by me (e.g. shimming the action, re-crowning the barrel, adding a recoil pad, or installing ...

Re: grips
Just put a Hogue Jr. on mine over the weekend. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but dry firing it sure feels good. Should be worth the $8 I paid for it.

Yup, that's pretty typical with the standard recoil spring. Cheap and easy to fix though.

As a Cold Warrior, you'll want to keep an eye out for an East German PM as well. Beautiful pistol.

Of course, my CZ-82 gets used the most because I don't have to worry about it getting scratched.
