P-64 Independence Day Shoot *Results Posted*

1971 P-64, 95 gr Fiocchi ammo http://www.bhts.net/images/p64/6-23-07.jpg Now that I am posting this I see why I should have used a dark background....There are five shots on the target, the one in the upper right of the 9 ring is very hard to see. I'll have to see about scanning it again with someth...

IWB holsters for P-64, CZ-82, PA-63, Makarov

Another Happy Customer!!! I received mine yesterday. I was very impressed with how soft the leather was and how well made it appeared to be. After using it for most of the day I found it to be the most comfortable carry solution I have tried so far. The gun felt like it was secure and in no risk of ...

Well done on the first target posted Hookedonsks!!!

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post something. I bet we get several more this weekend.

I plan to shoot mine up this weekend, just not sure how long it will take to get the pictures up.

Hogue Handall Sleeve for CZAK

Before reading all of the posts I was going to say: "I put the Hogue Jr. on my P64 the other day after developing a blister from my poorly fitted stock grips with the thumb rest. I've only shot about 50 rounds with it but so far I really like it. The gun is a little easier for me to get my paws...

ok, I finally get a chance back on the computer and... Holy C##p!! 30 replies already!! This is gonna be FUN!! anyways, I like the target Norm posted because, like Red said, the 1" in grip will make scoring easier. 3 targets, 5 shots each at 10 yards sounds good and quarterly matches sound goo...

You're right......let's give the big shots a few days to respond.

I don't really care what the target is, I think it would be fun and I'd participate...

How about just specifying the size.

What about the 10" splatter targets? Some of the other hi-vis stuff maybe?

Wow, great idea! Name the target and I'll be picking some up. My initial thought is that the shooting distance should be around 10 yards to ensure that most of us hit the target with all of our shots versus comparing how many rounds actually hit the target. I'd rather measure groups than count holes...

IWB holsters for P-64, CZ-82, PA-63, Makarov

I sure hope so. My original interest in my P-64 was it's size and profile. I am not a thin guy and carrying a sub-compact in my waist band is a very short term activity that is usually riddled with wardrobe malfunctions and allot of discomfort. I am really hoping that the combination of the P-64 and...

Safety dropping on while shooting

LOL..... I can't believe you suggested using a hemostat, that is exactly how I did it! I was thinking that I should pull my newly made part out for a little fine tuning but honestly, I was a little worried that I might damage the safety mechanism by removing and reinstalling it so many times. I thin...

Safety dropping on while shooting

Norm, Thanks for your advice on this. I managed to replicate your modified nail, heat treating and all. The safety is now a little too stiff but still functions which is great IMO!!! I made the quick trip out to my local shooting hole to try it out and managed to fire 7 rounds in rapid succesion wit...

Safety dropping on while shooting

So, over the past three days I've succesfully removed, ground, and re-installed the safety detent at least four times......I guess it was bound to happen. I was grinding ever so gently on the edges of the detent and all of a sudden...it was gone. Lost forever somewhere behind my workbench. Does anyo...

OK, not meaning to come delve into the lowbrow side of things too far....but how would this work when nature calls and you find yourself heading to the mens room? It seems like there could be some serious possibility of a woredrobe malfunction??? That aside, I like the idea. I'll be keeping an eye o...
