New to me SKS
:) Add me to the original stock fan list. I have two SKS's and they are both original Yugos. One was unissued mint and the other is my shooter. I have replaced the gas shutoff valve and the piston only in the shooter. Everything else remains stock. I have never had a FTF with it and I have mainly us...

WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
8-) Hi, I'm Fritzhund, but people call me Mark. I grew up in Philadelphia, but moved up country a few years back. I live on a 50 acre farm with my daughter Shannon, 5 guinea hens, 2 goats, 5 cows, 2 sheep, many deer, and a few foxes. One less fox this past weekend. I am an Electro-Mechanical Technic...

silencer?
I would think that the package would include a Walther PPK in .22lr, or maybe, and I mean maybe, a .32 I, personally, would not "screw around with" a P-64 in that manner of modification. Really. Back yard banging should be left to the Red Ryder if noise is a problem. Work related silencers...

The holidays
Merry Christmas to you all, and a Happy New Year as well. I hope come the next wave of Government we are all still able to be discussing our collections and our next purchases, not what we used to have and be able to buy and collect........ I'm hoping we are not all applying for our concealed slings...

P-64 Safety Drum Issue
:) NO P-64 parts are P-64 parts. The only exception that I know of is the safety plunger from a Walther PPK that "might" fit. Others have had luck with this, and posted about it. I tried it once because of a filed down plunger. It did not work for me. I went with an original part from TN G...

looking for input on Beretta 380
:) Hi 6x6pinz, That looks like a really cool gun. I have a Beretta 950BS Jetfire in .25 auto, and that one looks like its big brother! The tip-up Berettas are really neat. I used to have the 950 Minx in .22 short, but I sold it. I really wish that I had kept it now...... I don't have any hard info o...

He even offers a Hunter Orange set! Wow, what a way to stand out! We need to have about 20 sets ordered i...

Prices going up, up, up.....
:'( I just looked around at some of the normal C&R websites I go to, checking stock and prices on a regular basis. I noticed that everything is creeping up. For instance, SOG has raised their prices on everything! There must be millions of PA-63's out there, because it looks like all of the deal...

Handgun/Rifle Storage
;) How do you store your arms? I know some can afford elaborate humidity controlled safes and such, but how do the rest of you store your collections? Mine are stored in wooden crates for the most part, with silica gel packets to control moisture. My house, thankfully, is always warm, so I'm not too...

so i'm a wimp
Bob,
Stay away from the 17 pound spring. It is too light. Normally I use the 18 trigger and the 20 slide.

Drying up
Sad to say, but you are right swd! I might as well bite the bullet and just get it done now. I was concered about the PW markings, but you are not the first to tell me that they look ok. I'm just used to the TN Guns markings almost out of sight under the barrel. Oh, well. What can you do? I think I'...

Drying up
:'( I just got an email from Paul at MCS Firearms. They are officially out of P-64's with no more in sight. It's a real shame. His were about as perfect as they come. They all looked new. He dosen't know if any more will be imported either. I checked with TN Guns as well. They have nothing left eith...
