Is it just me, or....
There are many members who prefer the heavier DA trigger pull, most for the reasons of safety that you mention. I'd just like to draw this to the attention of many of the readers and will use your statement as an example. When firing at the range, the only DA trigger pull one endures is the first sh...

16# hammer spring report
rlj,
Please start putting the safety on when you have a round in. An accidental bump to the hammer while you are carrying could put a real hurtin' on you otherwise.

Newly Made P64 Mags - Coming Soon!
Brian, Please re-size the image of the permit to import. When an image too large for the page is posted, it causes all the other posts to conform to its' size, running the text clear off the viewable window for all the readers of the topic. Every one has to scroll back and forth to read the posts, a...

AimSurplus has 94-grain Silver Bear JHP
I, too, noticed the different manufacturer's mark. Thanks for the feedback about the performance of the new 95gr Silver Bear. I think the bullet is shaped better, also. I've relegated all the old 115gr Silver Bear HPs to my Maks and CZ 82s and will use the 95gr Silver Bear in my P-64s. I haven't bee...

intrested in extra parts?
Well, I don't want to be too negative, here. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the P-64. I think your real problem is that you have a " parts " gun, alright; a gun that was assembled out of left-over parts from two or more damaged guns . If you have a slide that says 1967 and a hammer that ...

Got a P-64 Today. Pic & ?
There's no position for "cocked and locked". The safety is just stiff and needs cleaning and working to smooth it up. When you move it down to cover the red dot, the hammer will fall, but not contact the firing pin. Most folks hold the hammer back with the right thumb while moving the safe...

Good afternoon;
Welcome to the forum!! There are a lot of us that agree with you on the point of the double action pull acting as additional safety. The design and quality of this pistol is remarkable. I first stated my opinion in "bZingg's introductory post" in the Modifications, Fixes and Repairs sectio...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull
Absolutely!I'm with Truth and Abwehr re using the CZAK like an SA--but I am curious, I thought the preferred method for carrying the 1911 was "cocked and locked" ???

Is it not impossible...
Thanks to all for their input on this subject. On the Gunbroker Auction, when you list an item for sale, you come to a field that gives you three choices, "Factory New", "New, Old Stock", and "Used". A fourth choice would to be to leave it "Unspecified". In my...
