Aftermarket magazine

I've had the same experience as torpeau. The instructions are strange, but they seem to work.

Umarex™ PM Makarov Air Pistol

Yes, I did see that in the Sportsmansguide. Did the same company market a PPK that worked in a similar way, or is that another company?

Star Modelo Super 9mm Largo

Olympus--The 9mm Luger, which I imagine is the regular 9mm that you are talking about is a 9X19 mm round. The 9mm Largo is 9X23; however, it is not to be confused with the 9mm Win Mag, which is the same size. The Win Mag is way more powerful and will probably blow up anything chambered for a Largo. ...

Star Modelo Super 9mm Largo

Norm and others, I am glad that you folks started this thread. The Star Modelo Super has been one of the greatest guns to shoot, yet a source of frustration as well. I have not been able to de-bug it, despite taking it to a gunsmith. Soon after I bought it, the extractor broke. I replaced the extrac...

beasleydano,

Thanks for the response. It puts my mind at ease. A lot of 9x18 stuff is pretty smelly.

beasleydanno and others,

Have you shot Norinco Green box before? How do you like it? I have heard people question whether the stuff is really noncorrosive, even though it says so on the box. Any thoughts?

Thanks jbabbler and Mark for the response. Would any of you buy Glaser slugs at that price?

Need ammo

jbabbler, thanks for the tip. I looked on the Dakota website and found a 50 round box of Glaser slugs in 9X18 Mak on closeout. They are still $75. So, they ain't cheap. Do you, Mark, Norm, or anyone else have an opinion on these? Has anyone used these? They are usually sold in six round packs for ju...

rottenrick, thanks for the reply and the tip. I have seen plenty of jacket separation from East European ammo. I am not sure I saw another case in Silver Bear HP. This was certainly the most dramatic because I had a fresh target.

jbabbler--a 40 round box! Now that is interesting. So you notice any difference in recoil. I imagine that training ammo does not push any limits for pressure.

rottenrick--One day, I fired one round of Silverbear HP and saw two holes in the target. I scratched my head and walked over to check it out. The jacket had separated from the bullet making two holes. I was poor expansion but a double hit.

jbabbler, Does that Barnaul ammo from Graf & Sons come in a 50 or 40 round box? The picture says one thing and the words something else?

I have heard others makers say their pancake holsters can be used both ways. I had my doubts about that. I truly appreciate your honesty. Let me give this purchase some thought and get back to you. Again, thanks!

Will this holster work also as a cross draw holster? If so, how well?
