Re: best gun for investment?
It depends a bit on your interests. Your collection should be for your own satisfaction first, and potential reward only second. If your focus is on pistols/revolvers, let me make a few suggestions. You could do a lot worse than another P-64. The importation must end pretty soon as they run out, and...

Re: Compare recoil of .38 snub vs P64
So much depends on the grip of the snubby. I own a S&W 64, 2 inch, with an Uncle Mikes grip. I believe it is an old NYPD revolver. Even with the hottest stuff, it is comfortable to shoot. It is a k frame, so not a real small snubby. I find it more comfortable than the P-64.

hvacken,
J&G has Bulgarian Mak's for $230 until the end of May. It depends on your time frame. The CZ's should be around for a little while yet. It is hard to beat that deal on a Mak.

mattwestm,
Your method seems right to me. It seems that the double action pull is the real safety. The safety when cocked is too easy to accidentally knock off.

Re: Serious question about CZ-82
+1 on the revolver idea. J&G has plenty of S&W Model 10's, 64's in good condition at good prices. With +P ammo, you have a better defense load, and a revolver is easier to operate.

Re: comparison of pa-63 and cz-82?
Let me just add my two cents. I own and shoot both. Both are very accurate. The PA-63 is a bit cheaper when bought at the right place and easier to conceal. The CZ-82 is definitely a solid gun, a bargain gun, and a gun with readily available parts. Once the importation dries up, both will be good in...

Re: Argentine FM 90 Hi-Power
blackblade, Did you buy these from J&G? I know that they have them. The last that I checked they were not rated as highly as I would think. The major problems seem to be feeding problems and a loose front sight that quickly works its way off. I take it that you have had no problem with the sight.

Re: Please Compare Bulgarian Mak and P83
cubsfan, Were you able to get more than one extra mag per gun from J&B? Their fliers in print seem to leave open that possibility but the website does not. I do like the improvement of the Polish mag, since the sharp edge at the bottom folds under. The Mak always has that edge to catch on someth...

Re: Please Compare Bulgarian Mak and P83
I own both as well. It really depends what you value most. There is not a lot of difference between them. When it comes to getting parts, the Mak wins hands down. However, if you want a carry pistol, the P-83 is lighter. However, mags are available for the Mak in quantity whereas the P-83 mags can o...

I have been looking at the Ruger SR9c. I take it that you like it. Do you know the going price? I have only seen prices for its big brothers.
