I believe Monarch is Russian made from the Barnaul factory. I have never seen it in 9x18 and I can't find it listed on Academy's web site. Gringo, if you have found some Monarch in 9x18 I would like to make it worth your time to pick some up for me. Please send me a PM when you have a chance.

That 71-grain statement has been established to be a missprint. The velocity is right but the bullet weight should be 93 - 94-grains.

The best deal I know of lately is the MFS +P sold by SOG. From what i hear it's not on their web site, it's in their flyer, but if you call them they will send it to you. wwetabix, I may have sidetracked the discussion - Aquila doesn't make 9x18.

I know that Aquila told several vendors that they were coming out with 9x18 and these dealers listed it on their web sites for a year or two. Then they never delivered, and wouldn't respond to inquiries from the dealers or from me.

Sorry, I haven't shot any Aquila in other calibers.

I don't think the brass you notice through the ejection port is a problem. And brass will naturally be a bit marked by the feed lips of the magazine. No worries.
