Re: Rough DA pull -Update
JAGGUY you probably could use powdered graphite , and get the same results , and it will lubricate it all at once NORM Doubt it, the trigger bar at that point had some deep striations that really dragged across the disconnector, at least it would have taken forever for it to smooth out with the gra...

Re: Rough DA pull -Update
Ok, I thought about this for a while, and since I didn't want to get too drastic with it I put a little valve grinding compound on the problem area and dry-fired it a few hundred times. Smooth as glass after cleaning it up good and seems to have no problem resetting the trigger. Easy and safer than ...

Rough DA pull -Update
I noticed the DA trigger pull is very rough on my latest P64 compared to my other one. I have tracked it down to where the disconnector contacts the trigger bar. The trigger bar is roughly machined in that spot and when the disconnector slides on it, it drags and skips badly. It seems like this is a...

Latest SOG P-64
A few of you wanted a report on the latest shipment of the P-64's from SOG. I got this one last night, ordered it last Thursday. I didn't pay the hand pick charge but I did request a 1973 or later if possible so I might get a triangle hammer to go with my 1970 round hammer. What I got was a 1974 in ...

Finally got my P64 to the range
Hello. Finally made it to the range yesterday with my SOG P64 and have some observations. First and foremost, the pistol is fun, accurate, and very reliable. No hiccups with a box of Brown Bear and 50 of my reloads. Also the recoil isn’t nearly as bad as expected so I won’t be replacing the recoil s...

Re: Loading the 9x18mm w/ Luger brass
I use a Lee case gage and cutter in a drill. Takes some time but my time is real cheap when I work for myself ;-}
I usually do 20 or so and then go off and do something else then repeat. No big deal really and after a while I have a pile of them.

Re: Quick introduction and my new P64
Mine came with very little cosmoline and was real easy to get cleaned out. New condition and works like it should. I don't think you will have any trouble with it.

Re: post some your pet 9 X 18 loads
I've been using:
93gr Betterbullets cast .365
4.0 Unique
Trimmed 9x19 brass
Wolf Small pistol primer
Use in a PA-63 and P-64
Of course you should work up from 3.5gr Unique

No, it's chambered in 7.65 (32acp) It's WW2 vintage and too old for the 9x18.tooldawg99 wrote:Is the Sauer also chambered in 9mm Makarov? Not sure I've seen many of them.

That's a Sauer & Sohn Model 38H. It's a WW2 souvenir my dad brought home after the war.

New member with new P-64
Hello. When I saw the P-64 go C&R I knew I needed to add one to the collection. I have always had good luck with SOG so I ordered one last week. I usually call Kelly @ SOG but the phone lines there were clogged for 2 days so I ordered online this time. I decided not to pay for the hand pick this...

Re: 7/02/2010 delivery from SOG: pics!
I ordered mine on Tuesday. I usually deal on the phone with my favorite gal Kelly, ext 226, but the phones have been clogged so I ordered via the net. I ordered one on Tuesday 6-29-10. took until today to get a tracking # but it will be here on Wed 7/7/10. Really looking forward to seeing what I get...
