You heard wrong. Feel free to search for my reviews on these, they have a design/manufacturing flaw.gmharle wrote:I have not ordered any yet but I hear that they work well.

Re: Polish Iron v.05 grip replacement.
Thanks Russ, I haven't had time to test at the range (yet), lots of traveling and young kids n' all. It's on the to-do very soon, though.

Re: Not returning to battery
I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to chamber it with the safety on. Should the hammer fall while racking the slide, you will get an AD. The safety will drop the hammer but block it from striking the firing pin.

Re: FTF on first shot in full magazine
Based on what you describe, the recoil spring you have may be too stiff for the ammo you are using. Contrary to popular belief, recoil springs aren't there to reduce recoil, felt or otherwise. They are there to absorb energy from the cartridge you just fired, store it (while slowing down and stoppin...

Re: FTF on first shot in full magazine
Don't waste your money on the ks mags, unless you're just buying them for spare parts. The sheet metal is too soft or too thin, and it gets all bent out of shape from the recoil when fired. No I'm not joking. Have you bought one of them recently? All the recent reviews say they're okay. Recently, a...

FWIW, I didn't start this topic, it was a spammer/troll. The moderator must have deleted the original posts, so now it looks like I started an empty thread.

Re: Slide problem
Just to re-iterate what's been said a hundred times (every time this topic comes up), there are many who never grind the springs and never have a problem. No one has yet to offer an explanation as to why grinding it would be necessary or beneficial, other than the original spring was flat on the end...

Re: Slide problem
I'd suggest polishing the feed ramp. They are pretty rough from the factory, and when you smoothen this out it chambers much more nicely. About 1 minute with a dremel (cloth/soft tip) and some polishing compound, it will have a mirror finish.

Re: Damage question
It's a blowback design, not locked breech. The only damage I see to the barrel is a light scuff from the extractor that every p64 I've ever seen has. As long as it goes into battery I'd personally have no problem, but if you've any doubt ask a gunsmith. Advice on the internet it's worth every penny ...

Someone apparently only owns new and pristine things. I'll remember to take my car to the crusher next time it gets a door ding.

Re: Damage question
The damage in the pic is not the barrel. The barrel sits inside and it's held in by a pin. That damage is to the frame, and looks to have been caused by someone firing it with the trigger guard down. The slide slammed too far forward and the extractor took a bite out of the frame. Personally, I'd ha...

Been hit with plenty of both in my life. Nary a democrat to be found, but I'm pretty sure the tornado got stronger when I revved the motor on my weedeater. Lol.Curly1 wrote:I'll remember that when you guys are getting hit with tornadoes or hurricanes.

Every word in every language was made up at some point...
I've shot nylon coated bullets before, but never powder coated. They definitely kept the barrel clean. I think the nylon acted like a squeegee.
