I think a civilian defintion of reliability is somewhat different from a military definition. Military firearms need to be able to function in far harsher environments than the average civilian will be using them. And like davebaird said, military personel don't overly concern themselves with keepin...

Welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you here. I'm fairly new here, but I've found everyone to be very helpful and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Most of the questions you might have, have probably been asked before.

New member, best place to buy a P-64??
That would be me! I posted some pictures of it too, but they just don't hardly do it justice. I was extremely pleased with the condition. If these little pistols came in boxes, I would definitely consider it LNIB! Mine appears to have never been fired and doesn't have any scratches or wearing to the...

**Handmade IWB Holsters**
the holster is my "present" to myself!...that way I know i'll get something I want and like!... Sounds a lot like what I did with my P-64! Funny story so I guess I'll tell it here. I'm a big gun nut personally. The misses enjoys guns too, but only a few times a year. She says I get OCD ab...

That sounds like Truman Lake area, right? If so, that's beautiful country around there. I really like Truman Lake too, it's a very pretty place. I don't know if you're a hunter, but from what I here, there's good whitetail hunting around there. I can't say that I've been to Warsaw, at least stopped....

Sounds like the guy was feeding me a line. I wanted a dark brown or almost deep reddish brown color. I'm not a tanner by trade so I had no clue. But thanks for clearing that up for me. I think I'll be a little more skeptical of the guy if I see him again.

Looking for a good Ruger No. 1
I'd also be interested in buying a decent Ruger SP101 in .357 with the 3 1/16 inch barrel.

That's a great looking little holster! I really like the white thread on the black leather. That's really like my taste anyway. I went with a black Don Hume but I would rather had the tanned leather one. The guy selling them said something about there being a shortage of tanned leather in the indust...

I've lived in MO my whole life. It just depends on which part of the state you're looking to move to. Overall, Missouri is a great state. KC area weather is like night and day compared to the rest of the state for some reason. This week we've been getting snow. The high yesterday was 12 and it was 3...

Thanks everyone. I said I got a Don Hume for it at a gun show and it fits like a glove. It was a little tight so I thought I'd wear it and let the body heat kind of soften the leather so it will form better. I was supposed to keep my little pistol wrapped under the tree until Christmas, but I convin...

I just went to a gun show this morning. I ended up buying a Don Hume. It's not a tuckable, but it will work for the time time being. I went with the PPK model. I tried the SIG 230 model and it was just about an inch too long. The PPK model was exactly the right length.

Ammo Question
Yeah I think I may have to order some from AIM if they still have it after Christmas. I stopped by a gun show this morning and bought 100 rounds of Brown Bear. I guess I didn't know it but says it's Barnaul ammo. We'll just have to see how it shots. For $9 a box, it wasn't too bad I guess.

Sounds like you really got a good deal. Those kind of deals are getting more and more scarce...at least in my neck of the woods.

Ammo Question
Well that's about my only options. I don't have any wholesalers that I know of in my area. So I'm pretty much forced to buy online if I want bulk. And I must not know where to look to buy other brands. I've tried doing google searches for Norinco ammo but haven't found any. I don't know where else t...

Ammo Question
I've read quite a few threads on Wolf on here and haven't really found anything bad. Other than the fact that it's dirty, other people have said they shoot it without problems. Why should I never ever shoot Wolf? Goes bang in my 1911 every time. I've shot some Norinco .223 before and it was decent b...
