Re: P64 firing problem
The problem sounds to be somewhere in how the trigger, trigger bar, and sear interact. Try to look at those. You may need to take the slide and grips off to get a good look. If you can't figure it out on you own you may need to post a high def picture showing that side (right) of you P-64 where we c...

Re: My new Star project
With most Self-loading Pistols even if the slide-lock fails I can tell by the sound of the gun that it was the last shot. This was the first time I've shot 22lr, the recoil/sound was so minute that I couldn't really tell when the last round had gone off. Without having a slide-lock at all I found my...

Re: My new Star project
All finished up and put back together. Look pretty good finish wise. Took it to the range yesterday, and it functions very well. It don't like the sites though, my point of impact was higher that the point of aim but well grouped. Wish it had some kind of a slide lock for the last shot though. So as...

Re: Springs Question
The Wolff recoil springs simply help mitigate recoil? No. They are also sold to replace worn out recoil springs. Being a blow-back operated pistol, the springs will wear out as they are the only mechanism absorbing the recoil. With these guns being surplus, you never know what you will get. In the ...

Re: new owner of a P64
Actually I am mostly looking for a CCW holster for the CZ82, the P64 fits in a pocket holster that I already own. Yeah, I thought you were looking for a P-64 CCW holster as the thread name reads "new owner of a P64". Maybe start a new thread in the "Other 9x19's" and you'll get ...

Re: new owner of a P64
What do you guys think of this holster for CCW? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Czech-police-CZ82-83leather-holster-WITH-POUCH-fits-Makarov-pistols-many-others-/251131880380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a78a063bc It would be way to loose for a P-64. But for a CZ82/3 it would be a good open carry hol...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
Here is another weird thing; Out of the forum members there are 1836 people that have joined but not posted, there are 357 people who have only posted once, and 238 people who have only posted twice. There are almost 3000 people on this site who have posted less than 10 times with just over 500 memb...

Not to mention that he has only been on this forum for 7 minutes. He joined at 8:51 and made then posted the same day at 8:58, and has not been back since. In seven minutes he uploaded a picture (probably stolen from another forum), put a link in his profile and put a link in his signature block. Bu...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
This message is so off topic, it seems like spam. This poster (crisaddriel) only has this one post, but he has his signature block set up with a link to a knife store. He posted a question regarding a P-64 in an old P-83 post. The spammers seemed to post in old posts much like this. Seems like a phi...

Here you go: http://www.cz-usa.com/assets/product_do ... /CZ_83.pdf
It's the same thing as the CZ-83 just in 9x18 instead of 380. They also have a video you can watch here..

+2 On it being a FEG PA-63 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/11/PA-63_with_Clip.jpg/300px-PA-63_with_Clip.jpg More info here Also some of the early imports have had their barrels switched out for 380 while the slide still says 9x18. So check the barrel for the caliber, not the sl...

DON'T BE CONFUSED, ANY CALIBER IN THE RIGHT/WRONG PLACE IS LETHAL! I know of people who have died from being shot with .22lr from when I was growing up in Northern Va. Also the Nato round 5.56mm/.223 is also a .22 caliber, go try telling all the U.S. soldiers that their primary weapons aren't lethal...

Re: new owner of a P64
Glad to hear your CZ-82 and P-64 worked out. The Recoil on the P-64 as in most smaller blow-back operated pistols is a trade off with the size. I.E.: there is less distance for the slide to travel to absorb the recoil. As I said before some of us switch the recoil springs and it helps. Also if you w...

Re: HELP NEEDED WITH P-83 DISASSEMBLY
telcontar56, You might try double checking to make sure your firing pin is rotated to the correct direction. Below is a picture I took of mine (had to use a flash light from the side to get the firing pin to show right). The hook at the back end of the firing pin should be rotated downward. Once the...
