Re: Terrible day at the range. Never even seen a jam like th

Did you flatten the ends of your new spring? I mean file/sand them down flat? Mine did that until I did....seems it bound up on the end when it was round.....works fine after I flattened the ends. Didn't flatten the end of any of the springs. Did you mean the hammer spring or the recoil spring? Cur...

Terrible day at the range. Never even seen a jam like this..

Took both of my P-64's out this morning. Wanted to try a variety of ammo through them and ensure they're ready for CC duties. One of them functioned flawlessly with everything, and didn't have the issue where 6+1 causes a jam. Sweet. However, the other... I never even got to fire. Every time I tried...

Re: Howdy from a new member

@ Legally Armed - thanks for the reply. I didn't make myself clear, I already bought a M-N (from Classic Arms $75 - very pleased with it) . . . am considering a P-64. Want something cheap and cheerful, small enough to just slip into my pocket for when I am not wearing a belt and carrying xd(m) .40....

Re: Howdy from a new member

Howdy, Just introducing myself and saying howdy from Texas. After avidly reading past posts for a few days, I decided I needed to join -- don't own a P-64 yet, but next week that will change. I do own a number of other C&R firearms, including a Bulgarian Mak, some T33's & M57's (both models...

Re: Howdy from a new member

Howdy back - where are you in Texas? - I am west of Houston. I don't yet own a P-64 either, but did get my C&R license earlier this in order to purchase a Mosin Nagant, and it would be wasteful not to utilise the license for other C&R purchases! For mosins, not sure where in Houston you are...

Re: Classic Arms - Kudos!

Wait a minute....I read your post and had to make sure I didnt post that.....I went round and round with them on the exact same issue...finally spoke with a very nice older lady who took care of all of it and it is on the way. I had the exact same situation but resolved it with them. Maybe I'll hav...

Re: Classic Arms - Kudos!

Classic Arms can't seem to understand that the "shipping address" and the "premises address" on my C&R are different, and that they can ship to my "shipping address." Every other milsurp retailer will, but they won't. So, they miss out on my business. Instead, I buy...

Re: my first gun will be a p64!!

You don't need to change the springs. Especially without ever handling it first. I fully agree. It is fine as is. Try it first before you do anything. Some us consider the stiff DA trigger pull as a kind of safety. When I go to the range, I never fire it DA, so no problem. A stiffer recoil spring w...

Re: A learning experiance

I have to say that with my new C&R nothing is quite as exciting as receiving a pistol from the "boys in brown" on my own doorstep. Unfortunately, from there the experience went downhill. After watching many you tube videos and reading about other's experiences I ordered a P64 from SOG...

Re: my first gun will be a p64!!

You don't need to change the springs. Especially without ever handling it first. if you want DA to be usable, and want to not hate the pistol upon firing it, you do. i tried firing my pa-63 without a spring swap when i first got it, and it made me hate the thing so much, it sat unloved in my safe f...
