Way to carry
It was suggested to me after my inaccuracy with the first double action shot that I carry mine decocked with the safety off. Then when it is drawn pull back the hammer. Does anyone carry this way? What is the way you carry?

I went with the 20# spring and a friend ha also suggested the magazine problem you mentioned. I have an after market mag, but to tell the truth, I wasn't paying attention to which of the two I have. I will compare the two and try cycling them as nbender suggested. I'll let you know what happened.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!
Just sitting here nice and warm watching the snowed in Browns/Bills game going on in what is usually an hour's drive north of here. Today if I was so inclined would take much longer. The snow is burying my decorations.

The boxes are plain brown with no color label. It is B-West ammo now that I looked as you suggested and after I got home, I cleaned it well prior to putting it away.
You guys are the greatest with your advice. Thanks.

I shot mine again last night and had a problem that I had never experienced before and it happened twice much to my dismay. I was shooting with my former CCW instructor's class. The pistol jammed on the first round of a clip. It didn't load properly and and stuck below the feed ramp. We couldn't eje...

How many have a CHL?
Got mine in March of this year. Only have used it once. I own two pistols. Qualified with a Jennings 9mm that we fixed the feed problem with a stronger mag spring that reduced the capacity from 13 to 10. I bought the P64 at a gun show soon after getting my permit. It is my carry weapon with IWB hols...

Work with juvenile delinquents and have seen too many of my former youth on the streets. Hence the CCW and the P64.

I love the story too. However it points out a major problem with the internet. Especially if it's forwarded to you from some originally unfamiliar source. They can easily fall into the category of urban/internet legend. BTW I first learned safe rife and gun handling skills in the Boy Scouts. I now u...

Here in NE Ohio we had ice last night. Slick roads are usully not a problem mid to late season but in the beginning some idiots have forgotten from last year how to adjust their driving.

Here's another of my dumb questions. How does the effectiveness ie stopping power of the lighter loads (92, 95) compare to the stronger 100gr ones? Is there any significant difference than a sore hand?

Fit and finish
Got another question for the experts in the groups. The finish near the muzzle of mine is about gone on the left side from the back about 3/8" and 1/4 on the right. Is this problematic? What's the cause? How do I fix it?
