another reason to get a C&R in Missouri

Signing of HB2034 June 26 2008 allows suppressors to be owned by persons with a FFL, this includes C&R FFLs beginning Aug 28 2008. That settles it, I'm getting my C&R. I've been putting it off for too long. I even had the paper work delivered once and decided against it. Again, where do I st...

Re: American Arms CX22

I just bought a 22 cal American Arms PX22 last weekend off a local gun trader website. I think it is just like the CX22 only smaller. I paid $180 for it. I thought it was only worth about $160 but he had a couple extra mags, original box and paperwork, and I had already driven 70+ miles to look at i...

Re: Wolf in a CZ 82

I don't mean to hijack this thread but: Norm, I have always respected your opinion of wolf ammo and I have bought my last box when I found out the possibilities. I read recently on another forum that Tula ammo is really the same as wolf ammo, it's just boxed Tula. Tula is the cheapest 9mm luger ammo...

cz70

I happened across a cz70 for $200 obo. Are they worth anything? I have a cz50 in 9mm and a cz82 9x18. I wasn't really wanting another caliber but was intrigued with this one.
What are they worth?

Re: Auto Ordnance 1911A1

Thanks, I had it on backwards. After I posted the last post I found the manual online and the picture looked like the the closed end was towards the muzzle(open end on first) Who knows, the picture might be wrong.

Re: Auto Ordnance 1911A1

Well, I got it this morning and I would say it is excellent! I thought I would post a pic for y'all. I do have a question, or two. On dis-assembly I accidentally dropped the spring and plug. I didn't get to see which end of the spring went where. One end has a "closed loop," the other end ...

Re: Auto Ordnance 1911A1

I guess I bought this .45 for $350, I sent him the money anyway. We'll see what I've got when it gets here.

Re: Grip screw and nut

I think I went to ace hardware and got a metric screw and nut, 5mm I think. Then I took a black sharpie and colored the shiny nut and head. If that rubs off I do it again. There used to be a thread on here where they heated the head of the screw and did something to it to make it dark colored. Norm ...

Re: I wnet to a local gun show yesterday

Now the admission to my local gun show is $10, lucky for me my youngest son got in for half price. I do enjoy going to the show but if I have to pay $30 to get in I'll have to stop going.
The only bargain I got was 500 rds of 9mm silver bear for $78.

Re: I you use a Hoque Jr Grip on your P64...

i bought a hogue handall jr today and tore it when I tried to put it on. Man those things are tight, I wished I'd used a little heat now but I didn't want any moisture under it. I didn't think about a hair dryer until it was too late.

Re: New member with question

I use a recipe found on the Makarov.com website called "Cleaner/Lube for Firearms" found at http://www.makarov.com/tech.html towards the bottom of the page. I think it is the mineral spirits in it that does the work on the cosmoline. I field strip it and let it soak, grips and all, overnig...

Re: I wnet to a local gun show yesterday

makarov caliber guns are scarce at shows around here too. And isn't $9 a little high for admission? I guess if we'll pay it they'll charge it. I usually take my two sons and it gets a little expensive just to get in the door, especially if you don't find any bargains.
