Re: P-64 Military Holster, where do I get one besides Gunbro
You are welcome...the deal is done! Just think 20 years ago a transaction like this would not have been possible! Don't you just love the internet?

Re: Any opinions on this holster?
That's a pretty good deal. I ordered one similar to that only a Don Hume brand, and it is backordered for 10 weeks!

You can have this one that I got from Aim with my P-64. It is is good shape, except the plug is coming unsewed, as you can see in the picture. You can have it and the cleaning rod for $20 shipped. PM me if you are interested.

Looks to me like it should work fine. DeSantis is a good brand & well made. I would carry that.

Re: AN OLD FRIEND
That's a good story Papabear. Those were the days when you wanted a 1911 to shoot & run right you had to have it worked on. Was Gil Hebard from Knoxville, IL shooting in any of those matches? I grew up in Galesburg, IL, about 10 miles from where he lived, and he was an icon. Have family in Peter...

Re: AN OLD FRIEND
Sweet 1911! That is "old school" to today's new batch of shooters, but I bet it shoots as good as it looks. Does it still have the collett bushing in it?

Re: New Sights Added to P64!
I did remove the rear sight so the bead would have a "channel" to sit it, for lack of a better term. It works perfectly, but now there is a blank dovetail where it was, not too pleasing to the eye. Before I refinish it, I will file the rear sight to conform to the groove in the slide and r...

Re: New Sights Added to P64!
I have shot it, and it does indeed shoot to point of aim. It will nail the center out of a B27 target at 10 yards. Precise it is not, but for what I wanted to do with it, it was a successful project. Next I am going to do a complete teardown, stone lightly, parkerize & Dura Coate it. I wanted a ...

Re: Concealed Carry
Ditto what the other posters have said. I bought mine a couple months ago, ran a couple hundred rounds through it to make sure it was reliable, did the spring swap, and now it is my every day carry. I carry primarily IWB so this is an easy weapon to conceal, it is not heavy, has rounded edges, and i...

Re: Condition of AIM Mosins, the $80 specials...
I would have to agree that Classic Arms is the way to go. I have dealt with Aim a lot, but the guns I have gotten from Classic arms are consistantly of above average condition.

Re: CZ-82 Range Day
That is a slick classic pistol! Novak did a good job on it, but you would expect that from his company. You gave that little Colt a new lease on life. Thanks for showing the pictures!

New Sights Added to P64!
[/attachment] Sight install #1.jpg Sight install #6.jpg Well I bit the bullet and added new sights to my P64. It is a front shotgun bead. I filed off the front sight, drilled the slide in the center & tapped 6-48, and epoxied it in. I removed the dovetailed rear sight to give a larger rear sight...
