Re: Another (ANOTHER) new member
Welcome to the forum Ducky! If you have one of these well made firearms you're definitely in the right place. The first time I held mine it was love at first sight and I've carried it ever since. I would only carry a revolver for the 20+ years that I spent in law enforcement but this little gem real...

Re: Which Spring is best? 17#, 18#, 19#, 20#??
LantanaTX, hello! I've found the best combination to be 18# for the hammer spring and 20# for the recoil spring and , for the most part, I shoot Buffalo Bore +P almost exclusively nowadays. There's more than one reason for the slide failing to lock back on the last round, for failing to completely r...

Re: Radom Factory Parts Available!
It really doesn't matter all that much which year magazine you get. If you get the later style you just have to dress up the lips on top with a Dremel tool. It's not that big of a deal. There's a thread on this site that gives explicit instructions on how to do it. They all fit in the weapon. Stay s...

Re: NEED HELP! First Time to the range, Not good
My recommendation is sort of a conglomerate of above but the suggestions are what I've personally found to work for me. Don't know what kind of horsepower that red army is pushing but I'd be willing to bet that It's not as much as a modern day ammo such as Buffalo Bore, Hornday ect, just guessing as...

Welcome Fiorina to the forum, lots of good people and info here, My advice here would be pretty much the same as Curly'1's so no sense repeating it so I'll just say welcome abroad.

Re: Another new P64 owner
Wacousta, Welcome to the fold. Yes there is a difference between to earlier and later model magazines having something to do with the lips on top being a bit longer I believe but I don't recall right off what it is. I know it's a quick repair with a dremel tool but don't start cutting until someone ...

Re: Racking the slide
I have the 22# recoil spring in mine and it's a bear to rack. I have to put the safety on so I can get some extra grip to rack it. Probably not a bad idea anyway so you're not left with a cocked weapon but yes, especially if it has the heavier spring it's going to be stiff.

Re: New p-64 owner question
I just took my pistol to the range yesterday. I ran four or five mags through it without a single FTF or FTE. At 7 meters, everything was in the center if mass of the target at a pretty crisp rate of fire. The only problem I have is after field stripping, sometimes the safety gets stuck. I found ou...

Re: New member of the family
Yes welcome Sergie, These little pistols kind of grow on you. I carried a revolver during my 20 year+ police career because I valued reliability over capacity. After retiring I found this little gem and I have as much faith in it as I ever did most of my revolvers. I now carry it daily and probably ...

Re: Hello and thanks!
Welcome to the forum Mike. As to the brass problem, yes they do fly into the next county. Solution, have to wife stand to your right and slightly to the rear with a swimming pool net and catch them. Simple solution, cost effective, and oops gotta go here comes the wife and she's got a bigger net, an...

Re: Magazine holster
Gary, That looks great. Never gave that a thought but now that I see yours I think I'll order two, one for my mags and one for that moose of a cell phone I have. I just use the single flip phone cases now so if I want two extra mags then I have to carry two cases. Your idea solves that problem. Than...

Re: Magazine holster
Stop at the dollar store, or whatever passes for that in your area, and get a couple of small cell phone cases with the rotating belt clip and the magnetic closures. They work great for mine. Shouldn't cost more than five or six dollars for both.
