Re: P64 failing to return to battery
96sexton, I had to soak mine in kerosene over night to get the cosmoline off of it. About 90% of the time, when these guns don't function properly, it's because they are dirty. The tolerances are VERY close. After soaking it try using some Lucas assembly lube or Lucas gun oil on it if you can find i...

Re: Weird issue with my P64 decocker/safety
Would AIM replace/take it back if its been over 30 days? Trouble is, Im from the peoples republik of Kalifornia. Even if AIMs replaces it, it would need to be DROS again, and I doubt AIM will pay for the DROS fees and taxes. I can confirm the issue is the spring tension from the mag. When I press o...

Re: New Member - New P64 owner - Jamming issues
Kilbie, welcome. I have had this issue a few times myself. What worked for me was disassembling the magazine, thoroughly cleaning the inside and then running a cotton ball with a few drops of oil on it through the magazine. these mags get really dirty really quick which is why I now clean mine every...

Re: New Member - Range Troubles with P64
I too found that at 20 feet I was shooting quite a bit high when using the sight picture. As a retired police officer we were trained not to use the sights in close quarters combat anyway so for me it was a natural transition. Once I learned of the specifications of the weapon I was able to shoot 3 ...

Re: New Member - Range Troubles with P64
John9square, Here is a thought that may help with your aim. Forget the sights. At a 20 foot distance you should be able to just point and shoot. As hard as a sight picture is to acquire on these weapons, in a gunfight you would be dead. These guns are dead accurate but, because of the grips and rela...

Re: Slide flying off during shooting, magazine dropping
Thanks for the quick reply, I got in contact with the seller to see if there is anything they can do If not, is this something I can fix on my own or did I just buy an expensive paper weight? Best, Kevin Kevin, Unless you're a gunsmith, considering that all your problems are safety issues, if I was...

Re: Slide flying off during shooting, magazine dropping
Your slide stop is broken. You should stop using it immediately before someone gets hurt ..... badly, The safety is malfunctioning either due to wear or dirt or a combination of the two. Again, stop using it before you drop the hammer on a live round in which case refer to the above outcome. As far ...

Re: Unable to put slide back on
NORM is right. You need to be sure that the recoil spring is properly oriented, small end goes on first, otherwise it won't go back together. I've made the mistake myself more than once, embarrassingly enough. :) I've found that on the Wolf springs it helps to grind the end flat, just a touch, not a...

Re: New guy with questions
Welcome OHGUNNER. I am in Ohio as well and I believe we know someone in common. I was just talking to her yesterday I think or, it's a hell of coincidence <G>. If that's the case I have two almost complete spring sets for your weapon. Feel free to PM me if you like, I've gained a lot of knowledge fr...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
Hello and welcome to you all. Been a little busy moving lately and haven't checked in as often as I should. I'm sure you'll fall in love with this little weapon as I did. There may be a bump in the road from time to time but you'll get all the help and support here that you need. Again, welcome all.

Re: Anyone recommend a CZ82 holster
Try an Uncle Mikes ITWB holster. My P 64 rides in one every day and it completely covers the back side of the weapon so that it never touches my skin. You weapon would probably take a #2 or even a #3. They're soft and they're cheap enough so maybe you ought to give one a try,

Re: DA Trigger Pull Question [Reprise]
Danny, I replaced my hammer spring with the 18# after first trying the 17#, I found that with the 17# I was getting some light strikes. What made all the difference in the world on my P 64 on both the trigger pull and the safety stiffness was Lucas Assembly Lube. I put a drop on all the pivot points...

Re: Another (Yet Another) New Member
Welcome to the forum my friend. I normally carry mine in an Uncle Mikes size 1 left handed holster. I'm right handed but I normally carry in the middle of my back inside the waistband. A right handed holster has the butt facing the wrong direction. I also have an original P 64 shoulder holster which...
