Re: .38 S&W Ctg.
If memory serves me correctly, the "Non-V" markings were up through around the end of 1941, followed by V up to 1000000? After a death in the USN in late 1944 due to a loaded "V" being dropped and going off, a safety block (hammer block) was hurriedly made and inserted with an &q...

Re: Any one own a Star BKS?
I have the BKS Starlight and will have to wait until the weekend to check it as I work ~160 miles from my home during the week (and since work is in the "Peoples' Republic of Maryland", I cannot bring any of my toys with me when I commute). One has to be related to Pelosi to get a carry pe...

Re: Liquidating Guns
Most of my "problems/afflictions" (choose your term!) are due to having held a C&R licence for many. many years, plus a local gun store that aids my "addiction" by calling me when they obtain a new collection of "other than tupperware" guns. Since this happens frequ...

Re: Liquidating Guns
Thanks for the comment on the collection. If I listed the guns that I shoot some of these through, particularly the 0.455 and the 38 S&W my wife would have a fit as I have multiples in some cases. Daven

Re: Liquidating Guns
Well I have the opposite problem, I like "odd-balls". I load 0.25 ACP, 0.30 Mauser, 7.62 x 25 Tok, 7.62 x 38R (Nagant); 0.32 S&W; 0.32 ACP; 0.38S&W, 0.38 Spec; 9 x 18; 9 x 19; 0.357 Mag, 0.40 S&W, 0.41 Special (and Mag and the Spec does exist); 0.44 Spec, 0.44 Mag, 0.45ACP (reg...

Re: Reloading for the M1895 Nagant Revolver
I will have to look at the weekend. Uncle Sam does not let me access almost all weapon-related websites but this one slips through. Since I work 160 miles from home, I come down on a Monday and back on a Thursday or Friday depending upon the week. So all of my info and equipment is at my home where ...

Re: Reloading for the M1895 Nagant Revolver
With my 1895 regular Nagant I can use the Starline 32-20 and end up with rather nice accuracy. I also have the 32 ACP cylinder which works nicely, and then I also load S&W 32 longs that will chamber, fire and expand a little, I have also tried 23 H&R Mags and they work as well. I reload the ...

Re: Loading the 9x18mm w/ Luger brass
Well, I guess I was lucky when I ordered them a few years ago. I also have the 32-20 for the Nagant. The reason for the Remington sometimes working in the Nagant rather than Starline is that the rims are often a few thousands thinner and each Nagant can be picky. My regular 1895 works well with Star...

Re: Loading the 9x18mm w/ Luger brass
Why go through the hassle of 9 x 19 to 9 x 18 when Starline sell the brass for 9 x 18 Mak? Have around a 1000 cases purchased direct from Starline (they cover shipping costs) and they do not wear out. Daven

Re: Star Super Modelo A
I have used Reed's for the "unknown" 0.41 Special and they are a class outfit. Ended up with 500 cases as they have the correct head stamp (special run from Starline; pun not intended!). They are not cheap but they do have unusual ammo. Daven
