Re: Got Mine Yesterday
4rum dwcopple may be right. I took this one off the P64 and even turned it inside out, no numbers. I measured it front to back while off the gun and it is 1 1/2 inches. I have one on my Taurus slim 9 too and if I remember proper that one was for the Ruger LC 9 and it is larger than the one for the P...

Re: What is your favorite 9x18/Comm Bloc/ milsurp pistol & w
Dwcopple you are correct that the milsurp 9x18 is the Cz-82. How embarrassing. And that the Cz-83 is the .380 version. However Cz did make 83's in 9x18. Not a lot but they did make some as I have held one. And they never made the 82 in .380. I apologize for the error guys but thanks for pointing it ...

What is your favorite 9x18/Comm Bloc/ milsurp pistol & why?
I know this board is all about the P-64 and why we love it but it's fun to hear about other peoples favorite guns and why they love them. I love my P-64 for it's slimness, ability to disappear under a T shirt with shorts, excellent accuracy and never failing reliability. And I loved my PA-63 for it'...

Re: Got Mine Yesterday
The grip band is by Pachmyer and has a palm swell on both sides which I find fills my hand rather nicely being that the grip is sooo narrow. And it may help with recoil too.

Here are the pics as promised. I really like this holster. Got one for my Taurus Slim 9 too and it is very comfortable to wear.

Re: 25-pound double action trigger pull
And besides if you REALLY REALLY NEED to fire it in DA mode, think life or death here, you will pull through that 26 pound trigger pull so quick you won't even feel it. OR the recoil. GA-run-teed.

Re: P-64 and hollow point ammunition
This pistol was born to shoot steel cased ammo so there should be no worries there. And I have shot all the hollow point ammo brands I could find from steel case polymer coated and lauqer coated to steel cased zinc coated and brass cases and this little baby has eaten every single one without fail. ...

Re: Brutal Recoil
Another possible way to tame it down a bit is getting some aftermarket grips, such as Mr. Marschal's. They are a bit pricey but they are beautifully made and just a bit wider across the grip which will spread the recoil impact area out a bit.

Re: Like the old soviet bloc guns
Best advice I ever got was find out what kind of ammo your local LEO's use and carry the same kind. If they use it they will have a hard time painting you as a bloodthirsty killer who loads "special super damaging and maiming" ammunition. And do not load ammo hot for Milsurp guns, especial...

Welcome aboard 4rum, I saw your first post the other day but no time to respond. I have purchased from Century, Classic and SOG and I have had good luck with all of them, but I was not purchasing firearms from SOG. I wish you luck and yes, as Mike83 said they ARE addictive.

Bikernut,
That was me recommending Silver Bear ammo and I am glad it has work well for you. Nice to find out when a recommendation made to someone else works out for them.
