Re: Take down lever/trigger guard
...the [trigger guard] spring is the same dia spring as the hammer spring if its to light you might change it out with your hammer spring, if I remember right its also the same length ,in fact I think its the same spring, been a long time since I had any of mine apart... I agree Norm, except that l...

Re: Take down lever/trigger guard
All three of mine are pretty tight on the take down [trigger guard] spring. I have totally stripped all three of them down to the very last part and thoroughly cleaned them when I got them. The trigger guard spring on the very first one was so hard (almost requiring three hands of pressure) to reins...

Re: Safety dropping on while shooting
Thanks for "bumping" this thread Foo Bird.
I too had a safety that was too hard to engage/disengage. After a good cleaning and some powdered graphite (thanks Norm) everything is manageable. (Thankfully no grinding was necessary!)

Re: Magazine Disassembly
I always use a small screwdriver. While holding the mag upside down, insert it in the side of the mag between the spring's coils near the (now) top of the slot and pull the spring downward. This will release the tension on the spring so you can slide the mag base (also now on the top) off to open th...

Try this thread: http://p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3366&p=35771 Then follow Norm Sutton's post and look about half-way down to page for his excellent photo tutorial on a possible fix. [ref: http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3368] This will most likely fi...

Re: Has anyone tried to clip the mag spring to allow +1 roun
This has been tried before, results are somewhere on this board, you'll have to search for it. The end result was a non-success and it was not even worth the time / effort. I second that--not worth the trouble. I think the thread (an older one than above) was ANOTHER 7 Round Mag thread in this fold...

Re: The P-64 is now C&R eligible!
Eric, as Norm pointed out, a C&R 3-year license is only $30. Personally, I would not pay any FFL $65 for a transfer. Get the C&R license or find another FFL holder. That's hiway robber, my friend! I agree with both Norm and ShinerJohn. The $30 C&R license price is what I pay in MD for o...

Cool, I can't wait to see it.-Dirty- wrote:I have to post the picture from home but it adheres great. I did an alcohol wipe down before spraying on 4 coats of black Plasti-dip. It holds up really well, I did the same thing to my Hi-point c9 grips.

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
[...] Its pretty much a stock '72, the only thing i did to it was spray Plasti-dip onto the grips and man what a difference it made. Good to be here. That's a pretty good idea! :o I never thought of it for DIY rubber grips. Does it adhere well to the plastic of the grips? Can you post a picture? Ro...
