Bargain Price on Unissued P-64
Well, guys, there are still some bargain deals out there on unissued P-64s. I won a 1965 with 2 mags on a Gunbroker auction today from a gentleman in Hawaii. He even had it properly listed as a Polish Radom P-64 and not as a Polish Makarov. I was the only bidder at $125 + $20 shipping. Well, I have ...

Defensive Ammo
nbender Thanks for the time spent on the tests and sharing the info with us. This is good info. Good topic, too, guys. I would like to hear from other members about what brands and types of ammo they feed their P-64s. I shoot Maks and a PA63 as well as the P64s and like to use the same ammo in all o...

Defensive Ammo
This is an interesting topic. If a particular type or brand of ammo is far superior to another and the price is not outrageous I want to know. Firing into gelatin, wood or watermelons may yield varying results. The results of firing into human beings may yield totally different results. The only tes...

Defensive Ammo
I am going to have to try those wonder bullets some time just to see what the fuss is all about. I like the Silver Bear 94 gr JHP myself because it is an inexpensive round as well as being both a good practice and self defense round. I have always felt that mindset and skill are the crucial factors ...

American Eagle Ammo
Federal makes American Eagle. Reloadable brass. I have shot a lot of it in .45 and 9x19. Never shot any in 9x18 because I don't reload and there are so many cheaper brands, especially online. I never did like being dependant on buying just what my local dealers chose to sell me.

9x18 shortage???
The last I got was 1000 rds. of Silver Bear 94 gr HP from AIM Surplus. It was $130 + $12 shipping. Pretty good stuff at $7 a box, especially if you don't handload. It feeds well & shoots much cleaner than Wolf & other Russian Brands that I have tried. They have the 94 gr FMJ for the same pri...

How did you find us?
Did a google search after looking for P-64 info on Gunboards Makarovdot com & Slim Tim's Trader. I was into Makarovs before I knew anything about the P-64.

Another source for mags, holsters, rods
I received the brown leather holster with cleaning rod and it is in like new condition! I talked to him yesterday and he had 2 black (used by police and some military) leather holsters with cleaning rods so I snatched them up. I am going to keep one for myself and offer up one of them to a member. I...

Hi, manicmechanic. I am a new P-64 convert and I want to warn you that this gun is addictive! It is a great lttle gun! The P-64 has substantial felt recoil due to its small size and chambering but given the weight of the pistol and yourexperience it should be no problem for you. Personally I like th...
