Re: Baikal Makarov..

Not the same grips, I believe. The hard rubber grips on my Baikal have a thumb rest.

Re: Baikal Makarov..

Off to the indoor range on Friday with the Baikal Makarov. Good accuracy at 21' with brown Bear FMJ and JHP. I noticed the grips are hard rubber with a "Made in Germany" mark stamped on inside when screw enters. Could those grips be Pearce Grips as they look very similar to ones on Pearce ...

Re: DEL-TON Inc.complete upper for the M51/AR16 rifle?

gwbiker, thanks for the quick reply, why do you suggest 5.56 as appposed to .223 round? This link and thread will help explain the difference in round pressure... Also I find Military grade surplus 5.56 is cheaper than commercial .223. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?172181-5.56...

Re: DEL-TON Inc.complete upper for the M51/AR16 rifle?

I have the complete AR-15 in 5.56 with carry handle, flash attachment, bayonet lug, etc. Good shooter. Some Police agencies them. I got mine thru contract over run.

I paid $800 for complete gun. You might do better than $400 for upper direct from Del-Ton.

Get the upper in 5.56.

Re: Baikal Makarov..

I finally got my parts shipment from Brownell's. Had to come UPS ground because of the bluing chemical - took 7 days from Iowa to Arizona. Had some Beretta parts in the box, plus BIG Brownell's catalog. Didn't use heat treatment suggestion, but results look real good. Easy assembly and I'm off to th...

Re: New Rock Island Armory MS 45 ACP

RIA is a good choice for an inexpensive but well made 1911. I have two RIA 1911 GI spec. Both shoot as well as my Colt series 80.

Re: How much for a PA-63

A firm price of $243 does seem a bit high. Does it come with two OEM magazines?

FWTW, there are two FEG PA-63 for private sale in Phoenix. $190 and $170. Both come with two magazines and WOLFF spring work.

Great find in nearly mint condition. Don't forget to Google the "Spanish Pistol Board.com" for valuable info.

Re: P64 in stock any where?

IMHO, those of us who really know firearms have made a run on P-64's. Within my collection of SIG, Baretta, Glock, Colt, RIA, Star Firestar, there is only one Polish P-64 9x18 Makarov. And with a WOLFF spring conversation it's now my daily OC/CC.

Re: Most Accurate Pistol I have ever owned!

Most accurate of all the handguns I own -- Star Firestar 30MI. 9mm, 15+1, DA/SA, forged frame and built like a tank. Uses the Swiss double rail frame/slide system and loaded gun feels like it must weight about 5 pounds.

VERY accurate, but no longer in production.... :(

Baikal Makarov..

Saw one at local gun shop for $140+tax and thought what the hell I'll buy it, if it shoots as well as my P-64, I'll keep it, if not....! It's an IJ-70 9x18, 8+1 made in Russia, adjustable rear sights, imported thru Harrisburg Pennsylvania and in a sorry condition, but an interesting design of engine...

Rust on a P-64? We don't got no rust - we don't need no steekin' rust in Arizona.
