how much for one clip, and wait how much for ship?

I agree. I saw that the other day that shipping was $9.95 and I thought that was so ridiculous.

Gunbroker.com... $22 each, free shipping (Buy It Now) --or-- you can bid $21 and see if you win... You won't find a better deal that I know of. There was another website, but they were about the same price ~$22 but you had to pay a few dollars for shipping. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem....

recoil spring problem

Make sure the hammer is cocked back and that the magazine is removed from the pistol. Also, make sure the slide catch bar is properly in place. Any three of these will keep the slide from getting down far enough to allow it to get in the rails. EDIT: Another thing is making sure the trigger guard is...

Safety Operation

I find the disassembly/reassembly of the safety/firing pin components to be relatively easy. However, I think stripping Ruger MKII's are easy as well and a lot of people hate doing them. Once you experiment with it a bit, you'll catch on. I put the safety between safe/fire. Push the firing pin down ...

Recoil spring questions...

jbradshaw3, are you putting the smaller end on the barrel first? I wouldn't see the spring bunching up since it's on a guide (barrel). What lb did you buy, I purchased the 20# and I'm going to take it shooting today 13Feb'10. Mine appears to be good when I test it by hand. You should try to shoot it...

Novice Question on Bluing

I use Acetone (nail polish remover) with coarse steel wool to brighten the area to be blued. I use Brownell's Oxpho-Blue with good results. I use the same steel wool, coarse, with a tiny bit of blue on it to go over the area. The Oxpho-Blue will remove rust and penetrates thin layers of oil. Work th...

funny, clinking sound in rear of receiver

Mine makes no real clicking noise when shook other than the loaded chamber indicator. I even took the slide off the frame to check each one and still it was only the loaded chamber indicator. The disconnector made no noise, but I have a light coating of gun grease on my parts, so no noise is noticed...

Bluing Removal

I have used the Birchwood Casey Rust/Blue Remover with excellent results. Removed it right down to the steel within minutes. I don't know how long the Naval Jelly has to sit. You might give the Birchwood Casey stuff a try.

replacement firing pins - views?

I'd almost be half tempted, if it were my gun, to look at several different firing pins and try to modify one to suit my needs. Some may disagree, but I don't see what can be hurt by finding a firing pin similar in shape that you can file to create the spring base and the little knob on the side tha...

ZeeBorg and Zee grips

Does anyone know if Zee is still manufacturing these grips or has any sitting around? I would really like to either replace the right grip panel (if someone has one) or get new plastic grips for both sides. The Marschal grips are out of the question, $50 for wood is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. S...

Don't laugh - 1st try

I made a concealed holster for my P-64 as well. This is in black and white because my camera took a lousy picture. The suede is a chocolate brown, the reinforcement leather at the opening is dyed black 5/6oz leather. The clip is black. It is very secure and seems to hide very well under a larger shi...
