Sight Enhancement
I painted the back of the front sight green and the back of the rear sight orange the colors are kind of florescent and are really easy to pick up on. I have done this to most of my hand guns and it is a great help to me. I agree that a bit of paint on the sights makes a big difference. Years ago I...

Welcome, indeed! The folks here offer far and away the best help on the P-64. Most of what I know about that little gun, I have learned from this forum.

Who carries to Church
Here in Ohio we can carry in church if they post that it's okay, or if we have permission from someone in authority. I have long made it a point to be armed when I am there. I reason that most of the others are not and somebody ought to be ready should the wolf pay a visit... I used to keep a 1911 o...

gunboards thread
Cruiser sent me a heads up on that thread, too. I find it to be somewhat disappointing that the folks there can be so close minded and impolite. I've got a Mak: I shoot it and like it. I've got a P-64, too: I shoot it and like it and carry it... All the nonsense about the DA pull being heavy is just...

Wolffe Springs arrived today
I got a 16# PPK hammer spring from Cruiser. It came today and I installed it on my P-64 tonight in about ten minutes (even counting time spent looking for the spring after it went into orbit...). I am astounded at the difference it makes. It is like having a brand new gun. Before the DA pull was hea...

How did you find us?
Yeah, wait'll you get your P-64!I will be ordering a P-64 on Tuesday from MAKAROV.COM.
I find that I carry the Makarov more than my 9mm Glock.
The P-64 will for my pocket back-up.
Back-up, huh? That's what I said. Now I tend to carry my P-64 more than my Glock 27 and way more than my Mak.

Better then a Makarov? Possible
My CZAK is a niche gun. It fits the niche of a gun I can easily carry concealed, quality construction, powerful and accurate. It is not much fun to shoot, but it doesn't need to be for this niche. The Mak is more of a generalist gun - it has all of the above qualities except that it is not as easil...

The Religion of Handguns
Volume makes better sense than weight, I agree. Weight doesn't tell you much due to the various materials that might be involved, but volume is volume. Good point! I have a Glock 27 that offers significantly more firepower than my P-64. The .40 caliber Glock carries ten rounds of ammo that is heavi...

Well spoken, sir! These little pistols are nearly as addicting as .44 Special revolvers. I own more than a dozen handguns, but it is the P-64 that keeps fiinding its way into my waistband.Newgunner: Only b ad thing about your first P 64 is you can"t keep from getting another one.

Excellent! Thank you.
Are there any exploded views that show the Right Side?
I am curious about the Trigger Bar.

Better then a Makarov? Possible
When I leave the house the P-64 is in my pocket. My Maks are in the box that I take to the range. I was thinking the same thing today. After shooting my P-64, I put a few magazines through my Mak. I like the Mak; it is a nice, reliable firearm. When I was done shooting, I put the Mak in my case and...
