I just cut up a downed tree in my East meadow. I wore a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 in a kydex holster for that task.

I can''t imagine carrying it with a chamber loaded and the safety off. That would just be asking for an accident. Just keep the safety on and learn how to swipe it off if you draw the pistol.

I own two, both from Classic Firearms with a spare mag for each. To me it is superior to the old Walther PPK because 9x18 is a slightly better caliber than is .380. Having disassembled one of my P64 mags and studied the issue my first conclusion was shortening the follower (which is just a square tube) accomplishes nothing because the follower does not reach the bottom of the loaded magazine.
