Re: CZ 82 with cut rifling

The frame is the part that is C&R as the barrel is a "part" and can be interchangeable. Much the same as I do with swapping out different barrels C&R Colt 1911 handguns. Actually I prefer the polygonal barrels myself because of less wear and I don't plan on reloading for these. I h...

Re: FEG RK59 question

I occasionally shoot mine but it is mostly a curiosity in my Mak cal collection. I do have a SMC-918 that I shoot but am always on the lookout for another. I have never seen a BR-61 listed on GB yet but maybe someday. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/jhwarner1/SheridanGuns/FEG1a.jpg http://i...

http://images.yuku.com/image/jpg/cee264e1b0d93c63d85b3cd222f842ac27155e64_r.jpg The Rock Island Armory .45 is standard 1911A1 manufactured in the Philippines. There is no firing pin or drop safety. The gun features the same low small GI sights seen on the original GI Colt 1911 handguns so this one ...

Re: question re cz 82

That is normal. The safety should engage only when the hammer is drawn back. This is how it is carried when cocked and locked. You disengage the safety and fire. Pretty cool I think.

Re: P64 in stock any where?

I'm just glad that I loaded up on them when they were $149 at J&G a while back and then loaded up on more right after they became C&R eligible. Now some online vendors are selling them at about $200 or more. I figure that they became instantly popular when they became C&R guns. http://im...

Classic Arms sold some not long ago. They seem to go fast.

My handgun calibres are: 9x17 mm (.380 only a few hundred rounds for the LCP) 9x18 mm (all varieties of Makarov calibre guns - a few dozen cases) 9x19 mm (sever...

Re: Star Super Modelo A

I have used Reed's for the "unknown" 0.41 Special and they are a class outfit. Ended up with 500 cases as they have the correct head stamp (special run from Starline; pun not intended!). They are not cheap but they do have unusual ammo. Daven How long does it take them? I never used them ...

I try to keep the same calibre for both summertime CCW guns (Primary and BUG). I have the P-64 in a IWB holster and a German Makarov in an ankle holster with mag carriers for both. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/533264212daa724e1953f2997f0ae054908aba26.pjpg Dick's Gunleather IWB and Desantis Nem...

Re: Star Super Modelo A

Nice guns! Stars are grossly under-rated imo. The ammo is still available and fairly cheap in bulk. I buy from Long Mountain Outfitters and Ammunition To Go by the case (2,000 rnds). I haven't seen any vendors come up with any new batches lately so the supply of surplus Stars may be exhausted. I hop...

I only change out the mainspring. I never noticed any appreciable difference by changing the recoil spring.
