Thanks for the link ... I have sent an inquiry and got prices ... pretty reasonable in large (100-200) quantities. I will have to give them a call, though, as they didn't really quote me what I asked for ::)
More soon ... thanks again for the link!

Punishing recoil?
I love these little pistols, but I find that if I am shooting warm to hot loads, my hand gets tired of the punishment after 50 rounds or so. I'd LOVE to see some grips molded out of polyurethane or some other elastomer capable of absorbing some of the shock, but the molds are quite complex and I don...

Walter recoil spring?
A heavier recoil spring will soften up (dare I say eliminate??) the slap when the slide impacts the frame at the end of the recoil stroke. It will be a great upgrade for the P64 ... but no springs are available :'( I just talked to Wolff, though, and they said that they don't have an upgrade YET ......

A mak in exchange for a PA-63? WOW!
If I send you a PA-63, can you get ME a Mak for it too??? THAT is a trade that I wouldn't even come close to thinking twice about!

pics of new wood grips
So ... are these wooden grips holding up to time on the firing line? I'm a little concerned about the areas that, by necessity, are pretty thin. Assuming that they don't fail I'll move onto the next question. Being a little lazy tonight, I didn't look to see if there is contact info in another threa...

14#, 16# or 18# springs ???
I've been reading more and more posts about folks that are experiencing "duds" with Wolf ammo and I'm starting to wonder if the beloved 16# mainspring is a tad light. I certainly wouldn't carry a p64 with a 14# (even if I thought that the SA was safe ... which is debatable, but a different...

P-64 Questions
Well, we are all awaiting the day that Wolff makes us a heavier recoil spring. Rumor has it that they are working on it, but I haven't heard anything concrete on the anticipated release date. If you are interested in a pocket holster, you should at least give HBE Leather a look ... Eric makes NICE s...

PA-63???
My experience has been that the price will vary if you buy it and they transfer it for you or if they buy it and sell it to you. In the former, there is no sales tax, in the latter there is. But, more importantly, in the former there is no risk on thier part while in the latter there is. My FFL will...

What Ammo feeds / doesn't feed in your P64
be VERY cautious removing material from that location as it is already the least supported part of the chamber. That being said, there might be a burr there and all it would take is the romoval of a hair of material ... THAT, I would do without hesitation.
Just take that one really slowly ...

What Ammo feeds / doesn't feed in your P64
I'm a little surprised to see that you are having so many misfeeds, but I'm DISTURBED that you having so many "duds" ... do these fire when struck a second time? What mainspring do you have installed? If it is a Walther PP replacement, you probably want to look at getting one that is at le...

PA-63???
I got a PA-63 quite a while ago at a time when there weren't any Makarovs available and I wanted something like that for my collection. At the time it was the smallest pistol I had and I liked it well enough. I won't feed the longer 9x18 rounds (like anything 115gr) but maybe that's OK cuz it stings...

Reason for CCW
Papabear: My comments were in no way shape or form a response to your comment ... I fully support and practice your form of gun control. For the record, I almost always use both hands when I shoot and almost always hit that at which I am aiming ;D. My comments were directed towards Daysleeper, who i...

Reason for CCW
Stricter gun laws ... dude, you should just move to California. There, you would have had to wait for 10 days before you could have purchased your firearm (any firearm, not just a handgun) so that you could take care of yourself when you moved back home after Katrina hit. But, then you wouldn't have...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
Correct, they chamber just fine, but wont negotiate the turn into the chamber because they catch (just barely, but they do) on the feed lips. I'd bet that the mags that you have that work have shorter feed lips (or lips that sit farther back) than the ones that don't feed. I just tried another mag a...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
Only slightly off topic, but does anyone else have a P64 that refuses to chamber the 115gr JHP Silver Bears? One of mine won't feed them out of the mag but another one will! I was thinking that it might have been different amounts of chamfering around the top of the entrance to the chamber, but the ...
