I think the poster was referring to the original Polish military/police holsters, not aftermarket types.RightwingPatriot wrote:I know that this is an old post and not replied, but I did find a website if anyone wants to check it out for a holster for the P-64.

Funny, that review has disappeared from the CTD site & the product says that it's out of stock & can't be back-ordered. Curious.

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in
I don't carry mine, but if I did I guess I'd have to do so w/the safety off, since I'm a lefty. That's one of the reasons I don't carry it. I did ease the operation of my safety a lot by removing about 1 3/4 coils from the bottom end. HTH.

Junioustaylor- That was, as is usual f/you, a masterful presentation & as good a "teaching moment" as I've ever seen or heard- on any subject. You have real talent, sir, & are certainly an asset to this forum. On behalf of all the readers, especially those "underedcuated"...

Also any suggestions to what kinda paint or what to use to paint the safety red dot back on..mine came with it...gone...it's not red...can't really see any sign it was red before but it should/would of been right? I use model airplane paint(enamel?), the kind that comes in those little glass jars. ...

Re: Ammo Comparisons
Each gun can have it's won disposition. I can run Siver Bear and Wolf thru my P64 no problem but the CZ82 does not like the Wolf with the conical shaped bullet. Same here. The truncated cone Wolf I shot was (ims) 109 gr. and it choked my CZ-82 every time. But the P64 and, incidentally, my other Mak...

Re: So where did they all come from ?
At this point in my life, I'd rather not know the (possibly) nasty history behind a nice little pistol that I really like. I already know ,very well actually, that the Polish Communist government wasn't composed of very nice people, & I'd like to leave it @ that, just like the possible histories...

Re: Got Another
PPU (Privi Partizan) is high quality ammo. I buy it in several rifle & pistol calibers & have never been disappointed or experienced any problems w/it. Try it- you'll like it. BTW, $38/box? Really? I wouldn't pay that much if they came to my house, loaded my mags, stuck around til I finished...

They are located in Starke, Fla. & their phone is (904) 964-5053. Their actual name is The Gun Rack, altho they use the name Broom Closet f/shipping purposes (less obviously gun-related). They specialize in Mauser model C96 pistol repair, barrel re-lining & restoration. As I said in the last...

Re: Has anyone refinished their P64?
Sounds like it's going to be gorgeous! My quote on the bluing was excessive. I've seen local smiths here charge near that depending on the gun condition. I just got a quote on a near pristine Ruger Single Six .22 mag, and it was $80 bucks. Maybe it's just my particular location, but jes' sayin'. :l...

Re: Has anyone refinished their P64?
[ You'll spend what the gun costs in rebluing fees from a smith. Or, you could do it yourself.[/quote] I asked about re-bluing not because my P64 is in tatty condition (a very nice 1976 example from AIM w/just a hint of holster wear on the left front slide nose), but because I like it so much that I...

Re: New P-64 Owner w/questions
Grips4U in Boise, ID (www.grips4u.net) says on their "coming Attractions" that they'll make walnut grips f/the P64 starting this month, altho I couldn't find them on their website. I'd think that just about any good quality shoulder rid f/aPPK would work well w/the P64, but can't swear to ...
