Re: Manufacture year
Don't forget the hammer spur difference: early=rounded, late= triangular. I'm sure there are other changes, but I don't do research. BTW, the "50 year rule" is no longer strictly applied by ATFE.

Yugo M57 Safety Problem
Anybody here familiar w/the "add-on" safety on the US version of the Yugo M57 Tokarev pistol? I'm having trouble w/the one on my M57 & don't really know how to proceed. Somehow, in the process of stripping my M57 down, I must have dislocated/upset some part of the detent on the back si...

Re: Rear sight- Removable?
Not sure you'd have to remove the rear sight to paint it, but I won't swear to it. Maybe just mask off the rest of the slide when painting? Seems to me that you'd just need two red or orange dots on the back side of the rear sight? If you could Dremel 2 indents in the sight, it'd be easier to paint,...

Re: How many Importers?
Archer Arms is the current commercial entity that operates @ the Radom factory site. There's a very interesting article re the history & current operations @ Radom in a recent issue of Shotgun News. They're a manufacturer, not an importer, as such. I have 2 weapons made there: my P64 pistol &...

I've not heard of them before. Do they have a website?Weasel640 wrote:What about Dalvar? I know they've imported the F.B. Radom: Vis WZ. 35, TTC, P-83 and M.A.G. 95/98 but did they import any P-64s?

No idea who was 1st, but I think you've covered current/recent importers. My vintage 1972 was brought in by PW Arms. & bought from, I think, AIM.

They don't seem to list the P64. Too bad. I think that Classic Arms in N.C. still sells them.Legally Armed wrote:http://www.southernohiogun.com
you'll need to send in your C&R, or have your FFL send in their FFL, to see what they have, but they have them in stock.

Re: Bummer
I agree w/those who say that the CZ-82 is an all around great gun. Not as concealable as the P64, but otherwise can't be beat in the 9x18 caliber class. The only downside, to me is that MISERABLE painted finish. My younger brother stripped the finish from his & blued it. It really improves the l...

I agree w/hi-power re the recoil spring. I replaced mine w/a Wolff spring & had a great deal of difficulty removing the slide until I flattened both ends of the new spring. JMHO.

Re: FMJ or HP in 9x18?
JHPs for me in the P64. In the 9mm Ruger that I keep handy @ home(15 round mag), the 1st 4 rounds are JHP "home defense" ammo, followed by 11 rounds of FMJ. JMHO.
