From the pic it's obvious why you were so upset over the condition of the P64. It's good, though, to hear that J&G are working with you on it. I hope that the next one will be more in line with what everyone else has experienced.

new grips!
Wow, those grips really do look awesome! Nothing like the warmth of a natural wood grip or any natural wood accent to just about anything. Working in a knife shop I have access to a lot of different woods that we use for handle material. I wonder if it would be possible to get a set made up out of c...

Ammunition
Even though I've owned my P64 for a year and a half I'm still a relative newcomer to the family. I don't get to get out and shoot nearly as often as I'd like to. When I first bought the P64 I also picked up a box of ammo from my FFL dealer that someone had ordered in and never came to get. It was pr...

Unpleasant experience.
Redfestiva,
Good piece of advice plus a pretty cool pic, to boot. As an amateur photog as well as an avid shooter I really appreciate the "action" shot.

Polishing Feed Ramp & Chamber
Ok, I just finished polishing the feed ramp and man, that white compound from my work was awesome. Bright, mirror finish on the ramp. I didn't have any trouble with burning the wheel though I did use a very light touch with it and plenty of compound. Same technique we use when doing blades at work. ...

HR 45 -- Gun Rights Licensing Test
Dusty,I like what you said about solidarity and strength. The guys at the top, politicians, the money people their aim has always been to keep people divided. Most of them are businessmen and you know their thinking towards the working class guy. That's why they do not like unions. It's harder to deal wi...

Astra A-100
Big54r,
Thanks for the info. From all I've read it the Astra line seems to be a fun and reliable handgun. I'm thinking I'm gonna start looking more seriously. I do appreciate the first hand report. Have fun shootin'.

Astra A-100
I've been doing some reading online about the Astra A-100 (the 80 & 90 as well) and have gotten the itch to check one out. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience with this pistol? Any personal impressions, etc. Just looking for some insight. I've hit a number of different ...

yes the gray or the white will work a lot better than red rouge, rouge works best with metals , like gold . silver . brass , copper

Thanks. Awesome. I'll grab a piece of the white then and do her up tomorrow. I'm looking forward to playing with it.

**Handmade Magazine Carrier**
Hi fellas! I decided to use the name US Gunleather for all of my future creations. Also, I have just settled on a new pattern for single mag carriers for our beloved P64. The leather is premium 7-8oz hide. This pattern rides very close and doesn't require a super-stiff belt. The slots are cut to fi...

Holster for P64
dusty62, I have one of the Crossman holsters that came from Wally World, they are great little holster for OWB, and several of my handguns fit in it and I like the adjustable strap that holds all the different handguns in. I know of a few others here that have them also, my P-64's also fit in it ve...

Holster for P64
Dusty, first, welcome! If it works, I say go for it. As long as retention is good and it's safe around the trigger, I'd say you've got yourself a $6 keeper! -df dickfunk, I hear you there. Totally safe around the trigger with a strap across the hammer as well. The double velcro system securely atta...

I think that we are all aware that there are definately tough times a'comin'. Solidarity and safety/strength in numbers gives us a strong voice. Lets hope it's heard.

Want to weigh trigger pull? Here's how!
Tommy2, good plan there. I think that it would be rather simple to rig up a small sling using some cotton clothesline to run between the trigger and the hook on a fish scale. Wouldn't endanger the finish and the line should have more than plenty of strength to handle the test.
