Re: Recoil pain. Am I holding it wrong?

Weasel, all that boggles my mind is that the thing went into production without the sharp corner that is clunking me covered or curved. I suppose I'll be looking for some of the grips mentioned, as I very much like the pistol.......... I just really hate the corner on the beavertail.

Re: Recoil pain. Am I holding it wrong?

So if getting cracked in the hand is normal, what was the design team thinking?

"Long live the party! If your hand hurts comrade, drink more vodka before firing!" ??

Re: Another P83 Decocker with trouble.

Lacking any minreal spirits, I am soaking it in WD-40, and it's helping a fair amount. I think I need to strip down the frame, which I'm not looking forward to..... Going to go hunt for the disassembly instructions.

Recoil pain. Am I holding it wrong?

I got my p64, did a wolf spring install, took it to the range, and fired off a few rounds. Each shot I feel like I'm getting cracked in the last joint of my thumb with a tack hammer. Close inspection seems to indicate that when I hold the gun to shoot, the 90 degree corner of the 'beavertail' is rig...

Re: Another P83 Decocker with trouble.

I took the slide apart, and cleaned it with a Qtip. Prob should have used solvent.... Don't want to do it again as that captured pin was a nightmare to get back in place. I might soak the frame, if you think it will help. The slide safet level moves pretty well when it's not on the gun, so I'm 'pret...

Another P83 Decocker with trouble.

I'm having a similar problem, perhaps the same problem. I just got a P83 from JG. Open and close the action, trigger is rear, hammer is cocked. Push the hammer drop safety/ decocker, it will not move. Push with a tool, such as a rubber mallet, it will move and the hammer will lower, but the trigger ...

PA-63 and P-64?

Well, I found a local place with one of each.

I liked the size of the p64 better, but I find the pa-63 fits alot better in the hand.

Damnit. It's not an easy choice.

Thanks norm! that's just what I was looking for. The P64 seems like it would be a good bit eaiser to pull out of a pocket.

PA-63 and P-64?

Heh. I like it down here! Sure the heat is intence, but once I get a Pocket pistol that won't be an issue. As to said links, thanks! Now, Did you mean this article? http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting2005/polishp64vsppk/index.asp ? I can't find anything there on the PA-63. BTW, your link is a lette...

PA-63 and P-64?

K, I'm new to the boards, I've mostly registered in hopes someone can show me a few pictures of these two pistols side by side. I've done my reading, and I know most of the stuff about hard triggers, stiff recoil, aftermarket springs and whatnot. I'm looking to buy one of them in the next month or s...
