Re: My Mak Brass Got Glocked
PPU has a history of being a bit hot and your bunch might have been a bit hotter. If you search through this site you will find others have had similar problem with PPU. I use Wolf and Silver Bear a lot without this issue. This may also be why you had 2 FTE's / stovepipes in 50 rounds as you reporte...

Re: First Date with my P64
Bikernut, glad your range trip turned out good. However, a little concerned about the number of stovepipes you had. I have 600+ rounds through mine and have had no stovepipes and from what I have read here FTE's are not common at all and indicate a problem. Have your cleaned and lubed your P-64? May...

Re: holster
Keith,
Nice job, looks good. But I have a question, are you 3 handed? How did you hold the leather close to the gun and sew it? Or did you use a machine, or am I so uninformed about leather sewing that I just completely missed the point of the excercise?

Re: My P64 HiViz front sight mod
Gemini1 that looks good and glad I could give you a nudge down that road. Did ya glue it on and if so what kind did you use. And of course we need to know if it shoots to point of aim, although I bet it will because it looks like you kept the same height as the original front sight. Did you open up ...

Re: 1974 P-64 - Middle safety position
By the way Marty, what kind of IWB /OWB holster did you find? I am always looking for a better option. And I should also explain that I don't carry my P-64 more is that I live in Wyoming and in the winter people have on a lot of clothes which means lots a layers to punch through, which means I want ...

Re: 1974 P-64 - Middle safety position
Marty thanks for the kind words, but it is they way I think and operate. Nice to hear another person thinks along the same lines. And I hope I am not about to jump into the mud headfirst here but I think way too many people want something / someone else to do everything for them, like thinking about...

Re: 1974 P-64 - Middle safety position
I carry mine frequently in the summer and I am not worried about it not being drop safe. I am not criticizing anyone who wants to carry a drop safe weapon as that is their choice. However, many a non-drop safe weapon was carried for many a year by many people without incident and I am a firm subscri...

Re: Cannot Remove Slide
Nice looking piece. To tell the truth I liked my PA-63 better than my PPk/s for recoil management and weight. Wish I had not sold that even if it did finance my P-64. Now I can't find a PA-63 at a reasonable price.

Re: Cannot Remove Slide
Ooooh, nice snag. Blued or stainless? (Did they even have stainless PPK'S then?) I had a mid 90's PPKS stainless that shot nice but bit the hand every bit as hard as my P-64. And was heavier. I like the P-64 better except for the sights, which problem I have corrected. Let us know how the shootout e...
