Re: Recoil
I hardly notice it. I prefer it to my Ruger .380 lcp. Then again the handgun I first learned on was a 1911. Honestly I think it it pretty tame, but to each his own.

Silver Bear vs Tula
I am about to bulk buy some 1,000 rounds of 9x18 ammo for my SHTF/R.M.E stash. Tula and Silver bear are almost exactly the same price, but which is better? I have heard Tula shoots dirtier but don't know if it is true.
Which has more power? Thanks.

Re: FMJ or HP in 9x18?

Re: FMJ or HP in 9x18?
Well for me,I use fmj for my .380's as I don't think it has the power to make use of HPs,IMOHO. As the 9x18 is substantially more powerful than the .380,HP's are a viable option. I choose to use fmj's in my P64 because I am confident in my shooting ability to get center of mass shots, and opt for pen...

P 64 vs P 83
School me on the differences. I have fallen for my P64 and the 9x18 and was looking into getting PM and stumbled onto the the P83. I know that the P83 is the update/replacement to the P64. But what are the differences? Larger magazines? Other than the two sentences on wikiapedia I know nothing about...

Re: Finally picked it up!
Nice catch.Good condition and good deal with the extra mag too. I am not 100% sure about the bore jag,but I know that one side is a screw driver. I never use it though,I prefer the cleaning rod that came with my Nagant revolver. Out of curiosity did you pick it up at the Gander Mountain in Spring TX...

Re: Who here shoots surplus ammo?
I know,I have a Polish TT-33 on the way now and a 1934 91/30 and Type 53 Mosin Nagants on hand now. With over 6,000 rounds of 7.62x54r and 400 rounds or 7.62x25. I am currently trying to stock up on 9x18 and 40SW. Get the cheap ammo while you can, like 9x18 ten years ago,it WILL be gone.

Who here shoots surplus ammo?
I was wondering who here shoots surplus ammo in their pistol? Does not have to be a P64,but CZ82 or Makarov too. If you do how is accuracy and recoil compared to commercial plinking ammo, like Whitebox or Blazer? I am considering 9x18 for one of my two pistol calibres to stock up on,7.62x25 being the...

Well I was in town today, and stopped by Gander Mountain to buy some 12 gauge ammo and just had to stop by the gun rack...... Well I was wanting to get a ccw gun for my mom for a while. So we causally browse through, and she asks what I think is good and I tell her,so she tries out a SW mp shield,a SW...
