What's your favorite RIFLE!?

It would have to be my Mosin Nagant M44 (on the left).

After I got a couple of SKS's I didn't think I really wanted a Mosin but finally got one. Boy was I wrong. Still like the SKS's but the M44 is my favorite.

Too many stickies - now getting in the way.

I agree. It looks like you could probably move 5 of them to a "Reference" section.

I would suggest renaming the section "P64 Instruction Manual" the "P64 Reference Section" and move some of them over there.

New Here

AimSurplus http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/9X18_Makarov.html is pretty good on shipping but only makes sence if you are buying at least 500-1000 rounds.

AmmunitionToGo is pretty good too and they ship from Texas http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/

Welcome to the board and have fun...

New M44 - Updated pics

Is it possible that I have a chrome lined barrel. Sure looks like it to me but I have never heard of that before. There is even chrome on the end of the barrel just like on my AK. If it's all original, then that's a negative. The Soviets didn't have the $$$ or the time to chrome line the barrels du...

Why everyone needs a Mosin M44

I refinished the my 2nd SKS again. I guess I'm getting better at it or just not rushing the process. I didn't like the color it turned out the first time and after the M44 turned out so nice, thought I would re-do the SKS using the same stain. After I showed my Brother. He gave me one of his to re-d...

Why everyone needs a Mosin M44

can I be nosey and ask how you refinished your yugo 59/66 sks? it looks great! First you need to get ALL the cosmoline out of the wood. I did this by heating the stock in the dryer (our dryer has a rack for doing shoes and the stock just fits) and wiping it off. Repeat until no cosmo left. Then san...

Ammo to go

Yep, Aim is a little cheaper on the Partizan but they don't have any Silver Bear so I may order some of each from AmmoToGo.

I guess It's time to start reloading. Just need to decide on which loader to get. I'll probably just reload 45/70 (have a few hunderd once fired brass) and 7.62x54r for now.

Ammo to go

Ok, I may just have to switch to these guys for all of my ammo. I placed an order last night about 9pm. Got an email a couple minutes later saying the order would be shipped the next day and I should have my stuff in 2-3 days. Got another email at 6:30 this morning saying that due to high order volu...

Sources for P64 grips (NOT wood)?

With all the grips people have purchased there must be a bunch of origional grips laying around. I had a pair that I ruined with gun cleaner. They got all milky white and blotchey. However, I just painted them using Krylon Fusion spray paint and they look better than new. I used the white texture pa...

Ammo to go

I just ordered 200 rounds of 7.62x54R ammo and shipping to NH was $12.80. Not bad. I did find this http://ammunitiontogo.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_60_170&products_id=470 that looks interesting. 20rds - 9x18 Makarov Corbon Pow'RBall 70gr. Ammo for $14.95. 70gr ammo would be pretty nic...

Nice. But you don't get the fun of "de-cosmoing" it.

I have been looking for ammo for my new toy as well and I think these guys have one of the best deals out there. May order some tonight http://ammunitiontogo.com/catalog/index ... ath=33_132
