Picts comparing P-64 to other pocketable pistols?

Someone made and posted a 10 minute P-64 video review on YouTube. The guy is pretty through in his demos and review. He side-by-sides the P-64 to a Bulgarian Makarov, giving a decent size comparison.

Calling all members

I wondered when those homepage photos began to rotate! At first, I thought they must have done it all along, but somehow, I just clicked into the forum too quickly to notice! Nice job on the slide show.

Hogue Handall Jr. Success!

I just installed a Hogue Handall Jr. on my P-64. I heated up a cup of water (HOT!) and let the grip sleeve soak for a few minutes, then fished it out, put a bit of soft soap in it, and it slipped right on. When the soap dries, I expect that the grip sleeve will be solid and snug. The sleeve went on ...

second thoughts

I don't think being a "better shooter" has much to do with being able to squeeze that stiff DA trigger. It has more to do with having an index finger like a rock climber! When I first got my P-64, I could barely pull DA (and I DO have an index finger like a rock climber!) After thorough cl...

P-64 Video on YouTube

Someone made and posted a 10 minute P-64 video review on YouTube. I am not an expert on this pistol, but it appears that the video has some good information in it. The guy is pretty through in his demos and review. He side-by-sides the P-64 to a Bulgarian Makarov, discusses ammunition, springs, hols...

Gritty Grinding Slide

I have a 1971 round hammer P-64. I have shot it a few times, but notice that the slide feels noticeably "gritty" and grinds when I pull it back to chamber a round. Can anyone tell me what I should look for that might be contributing to the gritty/grinding feel of the slide? I could also us...

P-64 Magazines?

Thanks for the input, guys. I just ordered two P-64 magazines from J&G. That will set me up with four, total. Two came with the pistol.

I also ordered a box of S&B ammo for my M44. If I don't get a deer next week, I will try the S&B ammo for the second part of the season in November.

P64 gear sale at RedStorm

Redstorm:

I really like the P-64 IWB holster and mag carriers I received from you last year. Sorry to hear you are closing your doors. Thanks for serving the P-64 community with quality products. Best of luck on whatever is next for you!

P-64 Magazines?

I would like to purchase 2 additional magazines for my P-64. I found some at J&G Sales for $19.95 each. Gunbroker.com had one at auction for $16 (starting) + $4 shipping. Is $20 the going price per mag? Do you guys know of any other place I can get them?

Thanks for the help.

Going to buy a P-64 and have questions...

Thanks for the answers about Wolf ammo, Norm. I am new to shooting and can use all the information I can get. So far, I have not had any issues with the Wolf Classic, but I shoot far less than a lot of you guys.

Going to buy a P-64 and have questions...

What specifically is the problem with Wolf ammo? Before checking with the board, I purchased 1,000 rounds of 9x18 Wolf Military Classic for my P-64 and CZ-82. I would like to think that my purchase wasn't a big mistake. (But I won't repeat it, if it was.) Any advice on what to watch out for when usi...
