Re: Ammo Comparisons
I usually shoot the Brown Bear FMJ, or the Silver Bear HP's myself. I have never had any problems with this ammo.

Re: Need a new slide
Yes. I installed a 20lb recoil spring on mine and I like it very much. I also have a 22lb spring but have not installed it yet. Did you notice any difference in the performance of your gun with the 20# spring? I saw them on Buymilsurp.com, but don't know if it would be worth anything investing in o...

Re: Did it again.
I completely understand about having a million different kinds of ammo. I still have more calibers than I'd like to have but I reload so it doesn't bother me a whole awful lot. A lot more economical than buying them. It's just not very cheap to get started reloading. It takes some investment that y...

Re: Need a new slide
Good news all that was needed to make my father's pistol run correctly was replacing the main recoil spring... The Wolff one was too long and binded the gun up for dissassembly and shooting. Good thing we held on to the original! Again thanks for your help I just thought I'd update. I wish all the ...

Re: any one know what kinda 8mm this is and specs on it???
I would agree with p64-1973. The box does say 7.92 which is the land to land diameter of the rifle. The bullet diameter should be .323" to match the groove diameter of the rifle. If the bullet is not a 196 grain, then it would be 154 grain. Any forum I find on the internet that mentions these ...

Re: Did it again.
Thanks. Now the first one I got does not feel so lonely! I used to have seventeen different handguns, but have got that down to just five now. Got tired of having to buy so many different calibers of ammunition.jemsj4 wrote:BTW, forgot to say congrats!

Re: Polishing Feed Ramp & Chamber
Brigade, looks like you did an excellent job on your feed ramp and chamber. I usually only will shoot around forty to fifty rounds with my P-64's, per shooting session, so I think I will leave mine alone. You did an great job though and your picture really explains it well.

Geez, did not know posting was like writing a term paper. I'll try to do better next time.Curly1 wrote:I wish folks would break up there long posts with some paragraphs it makes for easier reading.
I don't bother reading them if they don't regardless of what valuable insites might be buried in there.

Nutnspecial, there is nothing wrong with Hi Points, except the way they look. (Fugly) I have the JHP model in .45 ACP, and it is a wonderful shooter.

Re: Crossbreed
Hi! I am new to the forum, but I own two P-64's, A 1974 and a 1977. The 1974 is my daily carry, and it is an awsome weapon. I carry it in a soft leather IWB holster that I purchased from CHEAPER THAN DIRT, and it conceals really well. The gun is accurate and I have never had any problems with it. I...

Re: P64 vs. Walther PPK/S
A couple of weeks ago I joined this forum after becaming intrested in purchasing a P64 for concealed carry. Currently I have a Glock 19, but it is too big. I have read many of the forum threads on the P64 and am quite impressed with the favorable comments, though there are some negative ones too. O...
