Yahoo! I got one! CZ82 that is
Rick, That will be my backup plan. I am going in there on the 10th with the most current ad from J&G. I already know what they charge for the FFL shipping. I am going to offer them the J&G price plus shipping and FFL charge plus 10%. That is around $220. If the refuse, then I will order from...

p64 reliability
I just took my P64 to the range for the third time today. I fire mine stock with no modifications to any springs. The accuracy is very good. You will enjoy it. Once you adjust to its little quirks, it will become one of your favorites.

Yahoo! I got one! CZ82 that is
I saw two CZ-82s in my local gun shop today. I will not be able to pick one up, if I do, until about the 10th of June. However, the price is going to have to be negotiated for me to buy. They are asking $349.95. Wow! I may change my mind unless they will negotiate down quite a bit. The salesperson d...

I think you will enjoy the 40. It is a little more spunky than a 9mm, but not overly so. Of course it will be less of a punch for you since you have been shooting the 1911.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I will see if I can find Lucas gun oil here in the Ogden area. With all the gun shops and dealers between here and SLC, I probably will not have much of an issue finding it.

What's your favorite shooting glove?
I saw a post here where someone had gotten a weight lifers glove without fingers. Another idea might be perhaps a baseball batting glove. I would think whichever one you select would have to be fingerless. Just a thought.

Thanks for all the great advise. I never realized so many common everyday items could be used for gun care. That sure makes it easier and less expensive than looking for gun care specific products.
