P64 "Bites" my Thumb!

My hands are not that large but here is what I did. I started off gripping the pistol right at the top of the grip. This put my entire hand on the grip. I then looked at the slide and where it would come back. I noticed that in this position, the slide was going to rub against the web between my thu...

P64 "Bites" my Thumb!

It is definitely how you are gripping the pistol. I had the same issue. Once I adjusted my hands down a little, the problem stopped and I haven't had an issue since.

The Buy Sell Trade board

Lots of good ideas, I am not an expert by any means. Since this board by design is incapable of expiration dates, I guess the only options left open to us that make any sense are the minimum of 10 posts or the email approach. I am active on four other boards and all of them have minimum posting requ...

issues during first visit to range

I had some initial FTF problems with mine as well. It is not unusual as stover has said, most pistols need some breakin period. Silver Bear and Brown Bear are decent ammo. I have also run Federal American Eagle through mine with no issues. About the only negatives I have heard are never use anything...

Great looking pistol! I am jealous, looks much better than my 75. It was obviously worth the wait.

Ditto from me as well. The important thing is that you got the situation squared away. It is great to know that the system can still correct its mistakes even if it does take awhile.

Update on JG Sales Condition

Congrats! I am glad to hear they still have them available. I found one at my local FFL dealer and will be getting it on the 8th if still available. This would be number 2 for me.

Dom,

Welcome to the forum. Mine is also a 1975 and is almost as new looking. Apparently, the later models did not get fired much. You will enjoy your P64. It's a great little pistol.

Where can I get a CZ-82?

Exactly my thought. When I am ready to purchase, I will give them one shot at marking them down(still had both Saturday, June 20), then order from J&G. I found out why they are so expensive. It seems someone took them in on trade and gave full retail value instead of trade-in value, so they are ...

Range report - first time with _64

Norm is correct. According to the Wolfe 2008 catalog, they make regular 9x19 and Tokarev, but not 9x18 in Gold.

It could be that J&G is running out of the choice ones and they are getting down to whats left in their inventory. It is still a good looking gun.

Day at the Range

WTF? He said five shots, which means one mag with five rounds, not a reload like some of those shooters did. And that photographer has got to be out of his mind. I was waiting for a stray round to hit him.
